The villa is amazing, with different seating areas dependant on the sun or wind. Pool not heated so was cold in May. Track off the road to the villa is rough and quite steep so you need to be young or fit to walk it to the nearest restaurant. Kalyves a short drive with some nice seafront restaurants Ταβέρνα Ακρογιάλι being our favourite with very friendly sraff. A car is essential though. Greek Air Force F-16’s can be a little noisy at times in and out of the airport (only 3 miles away in a straight line) but not at weekends. We had the treat of a practice display while having breakfast on the terrace. Also interesting watching the ships in and out of Souda Bay. In the main though, a very peaceful villa we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The house is stunning and huge, fabulous pool, garden and bbq area. The property is very secure with plenty of parking (we had 3 cars). There was an issue with the electric while we were there ( a area problem) and the owner was amazing turned up every time we called and sorted as best he could. The local town is a short drive away and is a tourist destination with lots of shops, restaurants and entertainment. It is a very easy drive to local villages, the mountains, hot springs and beautiful scenery. The nearby beaches we visited were not sandy but did have umbrellas and seats. For a day on the beach a boat trip to the White islands is a must.

Kind hosts with arrival food, wine from own vines and parting gifts. Most enjoyable stay.
