The owners are delightful, generous and very accommodating. The garden and pool are very pleasant. The accommodation is as stated. We didn’t hire a car as we thought we would be able to walk from the premises to the local amenities. However there are no pavements in the immediate area and the road is fairly narrow and winds which was difficult as we had an infant in a pushchair. Also the distance to a proper supermarket which sells everything including meat and fresh milk necessitates the need for a car. So we hired a taxi, reasonably priced, when we shopped and ate out. A lovely villa and a beautiful island. Thank you to the owners; you were a joy to meet.Read more
Superb views from the villa Lovely area with restaurants and bars in walking distance plus only 2 min drive into Skala and 10 mins to Poros Amazing to dive or jump off the cliffs from the villa complex straight into the sea or just walk around to the beautiful pebbled cove and swim. Better beach than the main Skala beach. Great outdoor space with pools and views Bedrooms very comfortable and immaculateRead more
Spent a week in August at the villa, which is a good 15 minutes walk into the local resort of Laganas. Taxis are available but we found that many of the local drivers didn't know the address. Situated off a back road it is in a quiet area except for the sound of planes landing & taking off, as you can see the airport from the villa. The pool was a welcome break from the heat with the pool man coming every other day. The villa is the middle one of three on the lane and so is slightly overlooked by one of them and separated by a metal fence by another adjacent to it - if you are looking for complete privacy then it is not for you at the moment, once the shrubbery grows this may alleviate the issue. Facilities were good - including a full kitchen with appliances - though guess work is required as we couldn't find instructions for the washer or dishwasher. We did have an issue with the TV & DVD Player as they didn't work upon our arrival - this was quickly resolved by the managing agent who bought a new cable for the TV, however the DVDPLAYER was not fixable though I believe it is being replaced. All in all we had a lovely relaxing break at the villa - it is a great base from which to explore what the island of Zakynthos has to offer.Read more
We are a family of ten, grandparents, adult children and partners plus four grandchildren aged from 6 to 11. Villa Diana proved to be the best villa we have ever stayed in. It is a beautiful property set in large gardens with a lovely pool and both a terrace and a balcony for eating in the shade. The inside of the villa was clean and spacious and extremely well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the linen change mid week was great as the weather was very hot! There were pool toys and balls for the children and the boys loved having goal posts for playing football! The mountain views from the villa and its setting were wonderful. Emma who looked after the villa, was lovely and helpful giving lots of tips of where to go. We could walk to two tavernas both serving amazing food at reasonable prices, Anna’s tavern was about a 7 minute easy walk through the village and Elionas (The Olive Tree) was about 10 minutes. Supermarkets were only a few minutes away by car and we found Avithos beach to be the best one for its safety, sandy beach, sun beds and cafe. SO many places to visit in this beautiful island, Assos, Fiskardo, Melissani Lake, Drogorati caves and locally five minutes away, St George’s Castle. Here we found Kastro’s cafe an amazing place for views and the wonderful food served up by the incredible friendly Spiros and Stelio with great banter to go with it! So, all in all this holiday at Villa Diana was a huge success and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.Read more
We have just returned from a fantastic stay at the Olive Grove villa - Dennis and Vasso were so welcoming and friendly, the villa was immaculate and extremely well equipped, the garden is beautiful and well maintained. The villa is in an excellent position for exploring the island . Thank you so much Dennis and Vasso we will definitely be back !Read more
The villa provides generous space and every modern implement you need and, above all, two terraces, one on each floor, with a magnificent view of the Cretan Sea, which is only yards away. The owner is a very amiable, unintrusive person. There are 24-h taxis as well as car rentals and buses, and beautiful places worth visiting around. This said, you may get sunburnt even on a cool April day, so don’t forget to apply sunscreen and wear suitable clothes when going out.Read more
