Soak in all that spring sunshine with a May getaway. With May half-term and 2 bank holidays to choose from, you should be spoiled for choice annual leave wise so use the extra downtime wisely. 

1. Florida

Florida is all about fun, so what better time to go than when the kids are already off school? May offers warm sunshine and shorter attraction waiting times before the summer crowds kick in. Enjoy 7 hours of glorious daytime sun, reaching average state highs of 27°C. The new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is also now open at Walt Disney World, so there's never been a better place to spend May the 4th. 

2. Cyprus

Get set for Cyprus in the late spring. May is a wonderful off-shoulder season time to enjoy the warm Cypriot sun, getting comfortably up to 23°C on one of the spring's notoriously dry days. Spend your May half term in Cyprus building sandcastles on one of these great beaches

3. Canary Islands

The Canary Islands are a cluster of 3 big, sunshine islands each located off the coast of mainland Spain. Known for sun, sea and sand a short distance from the UK, the Canary Islands archipelago benefit from average highs of 24°C onwards in May. So, will it be Tenerife, Lanzarote or Fuerteventura?

4. Morocco

Holidays in Morocco have an exotic feel to them. From the souks in Marrakech to the wild desert landscapes, Morocco offers a world away from Europe just a convenient bank-holiday-friendly 4-hour flight away. With highs of 27°C, the climate is pleasant for both souks seeking or sunbathing on the beach in Agadir. Take your pick!
