If spring hasn't quite sprung at home, here's where else you can go in April for guaranteed sunshine.
Average high temperature 30°C
Get away from the showers and visit beautiful Barbados in April. This covetable Caribbean destination offers luxurious white-sand beaches that benefit from the driest climates between December and May. Look forward to highs of 30°C on your tropical holiday next spring.
Average temperature 23°C
Our mates Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote come into their own in April. They all have great beaches, short flights and almost mid-twenties climates in April, meaning it's a must should the school Easter holidays fall in April.
Average temperature 17 °C
Portugal is another reliable April sunshine destination, specifically the Algarve. Indulge in golden beaches and top golf, as the south of Portugal begins to hot up for the summer season. Temperatures in this region peak at a pleasant 17°C making it that not too hot, not too cold and all you need is a light jacket type of weather.
Average temperature 20°C
If you've ever fancied Morocco, April is one of the most comfortable times to visit. On average, the country sees temperatures of 20°C in April reaching as high as 27°C on a really good day. Get stuck into the Marrakech souks while your mates fight the gale force winds back home.
