4 bedroom Vintage Villa Yalikavak Bodrum Turkey Sleeps 7

We spent 7 days in the house as a family of four (children in late teens). From the time of booking the communication from Sally, the owner, was superb: great detail and extremely helpful. The house is located on a closed estate on the hills to the west of Yalikavak. It is high enough (up a very steep hill) to have a view out to the see from the roof, but the garden and the house is enclosed and private. The house is very well maintained and has the genuine feel that you are staying in someone's home rather than a rental property. The living area is of a good size and outside is a perfect, private area to relax in the sun or shade. The private pool was the perfect size for limited swimming and cooling down. The roof top is a real bonus, especially with the addition of the hot tub. Despite the extreme hot weather we spent most of the week outside. We did not really use the shared pool which is large or the slides. There is a gym on site but it is a bit run down. There is a bus which runs every four hours into the centre of Yalikavak marina and it leaves 50m away from the house. We had a hire car which was a real bonus to be able to nip to the shops or to eat in the evening and I would recommend a car for this property. It has a good blend of being very rural but not isolated. We did not know the area, but with teenage children we really enjoyed Kalikavak as place, A busy marina, with lots of restaurants, and a wide variety of shopping from the very expensive to a more bazaar feel side streets. Plenty of good supermarkets within a few miles down the hill. There is plenty of help on site, and when we had a problem with the pool, Sally sorted it out within minutes. Overall, we had a fantastic week here and we were extremely happy with every aspect of our stay. We would strongly recommend it to anyone. Thank you Sally!
