I bought Villa Elia 25 years ago and lived there for 15 years. Over time I have developed the villa: adding the whole surround patio, swimming pool and gazebo and generally upgrading the villa. The one thing I couldn't improve on are the fantastic views and location and the convenience of being within a few minutes drive of the beach, shops and the town - which are the reasons I bought the villa.

Hello everyone! My name is Roussa and I’m a Greek-Canadian. Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, I would visit Greece in summer whenever I had the opportunity. During one summer, on my seventeenth birthday I decided that I would return to Zakynthos once I’d finish university. Upon arrival, I had no property and that’s when in 2004 I decided I wanted something of my own. Me and my husband Sakis bought a land in a very promising location. Years later, we decided to turn our passion for travelling into offering the true meaning of greek hospitality to guests from all over the world. That’s when we built Villa Shangri-La Zakynthos.
