The cottage itself is great, beautiful rooms, large, well-equipped kitchen, south-facing terrace and garden with stunning views of the ocean and the bay of Fowey, such a great house does not often exist. However, it is very, very remote. Since only a pedestrian ferry goes to Fowey, you have to drive far outside by car, so that you really need a long way everywhere. Lands End, which looks so close to the crow flies, is a 2 hour drive away. Also go shopping for shopping twice. It's also a real adventure to navigate a van through the narrow streets. So: the house is traunhaft, but the remoteness you have to like, it is also quite expensive. A more detailed driving directions, how to get there, without having to drive through numerous single-lane lanes with few alternatives, would be helpful. The Navi guided us the first time through really adventurous back roads. In the end we drove around the outside, as long as possible on larger roads. What would have been nice: we had announced that we would arrive between 18 and 19 o'clock and were there at 18.45. Nobody expected us, we had not received an answer to the mail, although we were asked to announce our arrival time. The keybox code worked fine, but there was no one to brief us.

The only problem we had was that the parking was 400 metres away and for seventy plus people carting the luggage was a strain. The parking also had to be paid for. Fowey also seemed to be short of shops selling food for self catering.

We felt very well, the location is great, 50m to the beach, 50m to the center, great shopping. The cottage is lovingly furnished. Technical equipment is great, the bathroom and the facilities great. Not so good, the big bed is too small and the couch is dirty otherwise highly recommended.
