Couple from Shoreham-by-sea, United Kingdom October 2018

Very clean and fully equipped villa with decent views and within walking distance of the coast. Bigger than it appears from the photos. Torrox costa is much nicer than Nerja. Pool was clean and warm (October). Large screen TV with dvd player was a bonus (1 hdmi port). Very quiet area and easily accessible by car. We would not hesitate in returning to this villa should we ever return to Torrox Costa. Shower and bath were decent enough and a combi boiler meant we never ran out of hot water. Beds were the only disappointment being very hard but one of them had a topper mattress which helped so ok if just two of you sharing.

If you want to find peace away from the big tourist streams in a dreamlike environment and still not want to be secluded, Villa Montemar is the right place for you. Magnificent view of mountains and the sea included. The pool and the terrace are wonderful, the interior but partly quite "dusty".

We have just spent 2 weeks at this villa all I can say is wow . Firstly the views just incredible , the villa beautiful , clean everything you need . The swimming pool is lovely though the shallow end is quite deep , I'm 5ft 7 and it came up to my chin , the deeper end is probably just over 6ft . When we arrived we met Carlos in a car park where we followed him up to the villa , I would say you need to be a confident driver as it is very high up with lots of winding roads and in some places sheer drops . Once you have done it a couple of times it's no problem . We drove from the villa to many places our favourite is Nerja which you can see from the villa which is only a short drive away , such a beautiful little place . If you stay here you will have a fabulous holiday .

A large home in the mountains with a view of Frigliana, Spain's most beautiful village. A stunning pool and bar area complements the view which stretches down to Nerja and the sea.

About Torrox

Villas for rent in Torrox

Torrox is a popular tourist town and district in the Costa del Sol region of Malaga Province in Andalucia, on Spain’s southern coast. Nestled in the mountainside, it is a modern coastal resort with a lively residential area that still retains that traditional Spanish feel. With an approximately 20 minute drive north of Nerja and less than an hour’s drive east of Malaga city, Torrox is comprised of four areas; Torrox town itself, Torrox Costa, El Morche and El Peñoncillo. Spectacular scenery, charming towns, fantastic beaches and around 300 days of annual sunshine make Torrox a perfect base to enjoy both the coast and Malaga’s vast mountain region.

With year-round sunshine and coastal beauty spots only 4km apart, Torrox boasts an outstanding natural landscape, where the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama mountains merge into the fine sand of its family-friendly beaches. Discover a landscape of small coves, crystalline waters and cliffs, made even better with the subtropical climate. Find your own little slice of coastal heaven on local Blue Flag Ferrara beach, or El Morche, just a 10 minute drive from Torrox Costa. Calaceite, Torcasol and Peñoncillo beaches are ideal for a laid back day unwinding by the coast.

Torrox has all the charms that holidaymakers could want from the Costa del Sol; from scenic views across the natural mountain landscape, to the whitewashed villages and cobbled streets of the old town. Discover a wealth of cultural monuments scattered along the coast and the old town’s centre. Admire the Mudéjar architecture of the 16th century Church of Our Lady of the Incarnation in the heart of Torrox, or explore 16th century San Rafael Sugar Factory. Discover the Roman remains near Torrox Lighthouse in Torrox Costa, comprised of an ancient villa, salting factory, necropolis and thermal baths; all within walking distance from Clickstay villas.
