Apartments in La Cala de Mijas

La Cala de Mijas (or Mijas Bay) is one of the original Andalusian fishing villages of the Costa del Sol on the southern coast of Spain. Nestled between the towns of Fuengirola, Marbella, and Calahonda, Mijas Bay has the best of both worlds, with a mix of unspoiled countryside and golden sandy beaches. This charming bay has a restored Moorish tower, a scattering of restaurants, and shops and beachfront bars with a friendly, authentic atmosphere.

Our apartments in La Cala de Mijas give easy access to its centre, with a wide range of holiday facilities and amenities, as well as Mijas Blue Flag beach with its picturesque coves. The natural landscape boasts pretty lakes, mountains and pine forests, with plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities such as biking, horse riding and fishing. La Cala de Mijas is also the perfect base to explore other parts of the Costa del Sol’s coast; Malaga city is just a 45-minute drive away, while Fuengirola and the authentic Spanish town of Mijas are just 10 minutes away. To the west is the party capital Marbella, about a 20 minute’s drive from La Cala de Mijas.

La Cala de Mijas offers plenty of attractions and fun days out for families. Nearby Mijas Water Park is a favourite with kids. Make a splash with water slides, wave pools, play islands, body skiing slides and much more. Bioparc in neighbouring Fuengirola is a modern, naturalistic zoo with recreated jungle clearings and 200 species of endangered wildlife to discover. La Cala de Mijas is home to three championship golf courses and luxury La Cala Golf resort, as well as Hippodromo Costa del Sol, a popular horse racing circuit. La Cala de Mijas also has an open-air cinema.
