3 bedroom holiday villa in Frigiliana, Costa del Sol, with private pool
October 2019

Had a really nice relaxing stay at Casa Cilla in this well equipped and well maintained family villa. This is a really large villa with extensive gardens, fabulous views of the mountains and wonderful large pool, sunbeds and plenty of play equipment for the children. There is a long driveway and automatic gated access. The kitchen was especially well equipped and we found no need to have to dine out every night. The villa is in a quiet rural area but not isolated, with other villas nearby, yet only 10 mins drive into Nerja and the coast. Felt very comfortable and secure and would definitely come back with the family.

2 bedroom Frigiliana villa to rent
September 2019

Excellent villa well appointed, although the barbecue is below standard expected and should be replaced. The pool, though small, remains very cool and the high tech management means you are not interrupted during your holiday by a poolman visit. Will return :)

1 bedroom villa with private pool in Frigiliana, Costa del Sol
August 2019

The villa hadn't been advertised at the time of our booking but when Clickstay informed us about it we were so glad we did. The villa was spotlessly clean, freshly painted and the terraces were absolutely amazing for outdoor living. We wanted somewhere for a peaceful break and the location was absolutely ideal. The villa is nestled in the hills with a private swimming pool which is un-overlooked and most welcome in the Summer sun. The villa is approached along a country lane which is in good condition and the final drive up to the property, although steep, is made of concrete and easily driven. The views are spectacular, Frigiliana is a 15 minute drive away and is extremely beautiful. The more major town with its beach is Nerja and is 20 minutes away by car. If there is one negative point to make it would be that on arrival there was no soap, washing liquid and similar items you may expect, but being a newly advertised property we could understand this and it was no hassle picking these few items up from the supermarket in town. We would definitely recommend this property it is perfectly laid out and we will definitely be back. The layout, the outside space and the overall location is perfect for a get away from it all holiday. Thank you Clickstay!

4 bedroom villa with private pool in Frigiliana, Costa del Sol
August 2019

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Tinajas. The villa itself was very spacious with large rooms and comfortable beds. However, not much time was spent indoors as the outside space was fantastic. The terrace was huge and covered with a proper roof (unlike the photos in the advert when we booked) which provided excellent shade when needed. The pool was lovely and clean and maintained very well and the pool lights came on automatically every evening for those late swims. One of the highlights was the outdoor pizza oven, that was used frequently after buying wood from the nearby petrol station. We had a couple of minor issues at the villa but they were sorted out immediately by the agents/owner so no complaints there as communication was excellent. The location of the villa was perfect - just a short drive from Nerja. Overall, a very relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings and highly recommended.

3 bedroom holiday villa in Frigiliana, Costa del Sol, with private pool
May 2019

Booked as the reviews were good and the price right. On nearing the villa the road goes down to single track which, if you are a nervous driver, could be a bit daunting but you get used to it very quickly. On arriving, the villa is at the end of the road. The key safe is to the left of the main gate and is easy to operate. Then you see the stunning view. It is a complete WOW. Massive door to the villa, looks like the entrance was built around the door. Very spacious property, very clean and tidy. Limited TV but we took a Kodi box and the internet is good enough to stream. Beds appear to be memory foam and are very comfortable. We heard nothing from the agents while we were out there which is how we like it. We had no reason to contact them as we had no problems. Only downside, which was very small, was that the description says that there is a bar 1 km away. No idea where it was but to be fair we did not look that hard. Car, obviously is essential. Overall a great place and would highly recommend

Villas for rent in Frigiliana

Situated in Malaga Province on Spain’s southern coast, Frigiliana is the jewel of Axarquía region, about a half hour drive north of Nerja and less than an hour east of Malaga city. Nestled at the foot of Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama Natural Park, take in incredible views of the surrounding Andalucian mountains and sparkling Mediterranean, while enjoying a low-key holiday away from the main tourist crowds of the Costa del Sol. From its atmospheric streets and flower-adorned alleyways, to its traditional whitewashed houses and authentic village charm, it's not hard to see why Frigiliana was voted as 'the prettiest village in Andalucia' by the Spanish tourism authority.

The old Moorish quarter houses a wealth of small convents, quaint churches and historic monuments. Travel back in time and discover remnants of its rich past at the 17th century Casa del Apero, housing the Archaeological Museum in the heart of town. Those with a sweet tooth will love a visit to one of the traditional Thursday markets, where you can sample sugar cane delicacies fresh from the molasses factory in the 16th century Nuestra Senora del Carmen mansion. Immerse yourself in the colourful celebrations of the Festival of Three Cultures, in August. After sun down, the vibrant atmosphere and energetic crowds of the local bars will make you feel right at home.

Nature enthusiasts will love a stroll around Santa Fiora botanical garden in the heart of Frigiliana, but the real gem is Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama Natural Park; get lost in nature with a hike around the amazing ravines, rugged crags and steep slopes, go climbing, or explore the world of exotic flora and fauna. The waterfalls and natural pools of the Higueron river are the perfect base for wild swimming and family picnics. Just 7km from the coast, sun-worshippers and beachgoers are spoilt for choice, with plenty of sandy beaches to pick from and at just a short distance from all the hustle and bustle of the busy coastal resorts.
