The house is in perfect condition. It is ideal to spend a few days on vacation with your pool and the beach at 15 minutes. Site to leave 3 or 4 cars new materials. They leave towels. The only thing to highlight bad is that the first day we failed a little electricity but they repaired immediately. I would also highlight that there is a lack of detergent for the dishes or to leave a couple of tablets for the dishwasher.

House very well equipped, nice view on the canal, jacuzzi ideal for the half-season ... (Note: It misses a small instructions for use of the material and a more complete assortment of glasses for example)

The villa Reynaud is very beautiful and very well equipped. However the bedding is to be reviewed in two rooms out of 3. The mattresses could be changed. Outside there are only 2 sunbeds which is a bit true knowing that you can live at 6 in the house.

The villa was clean and very well equipped. Only 6 of us stayed but plenary of room for 8 as advertised. The pool was brilliant, cleaned and check twice a week. Location was perfect, short walk to town and beach. The town had lots of choice for eating out and the nearest Supermarket in the town had lots of choice and was very reasonably priced. Normally town supermarkets are expensive and only good for essentials but you don’t need to venture any further. Check in and out was speedy and easy. Wi-if was excellent, which in a must with teenagers. Air Con in all bedrooms and living area. This was a must, especially at night. The only down side was that we had a few power cuts at the beginning of our holiday , sometimes for a few hours. This was not just the villa but the whole street. I think the whole town was struggling as it was an unusually hot period. However , we had a great holiday and would definitely recommend it. We will definitely be going back.

Villas for rent in Empuriabrava

Located in the Gulf of Roses in Castelló d'Empúries district, Empuriabrava is said to be home to the largest residential marina in Europe, making it one of the most impressive tourist towns in the Costa Brava. A contrast to its more traditional neighbours, this luxury location is nicknamed 'the Venice of the Costa Brava', boasting 24km of canals and 5,000 private jetties, home to everything from small fishing boats to the cruise ships. At just 40 years old, this younger, stylish side to Spain caters to those looking for a sophisticated escape away from the more commercial tourist spots. Think colourful waterfront houses, award-winning beaches, water sports and delicious Catalan seafood restaurants.

Neighbouring the towns of Roses and Figueres in Girona Province, Empuriabrava's beaches, canals and network of waterways provide perfect opportunities for sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and canoeing. The best way to explore this beautiful neighbourhood is by renting a boat, while the cool and dry northeasterly wind provides a welcome relief from the midday heat. Renting a bicycle is another great way to get around, with plenty of routes to choose from. In the centre of town discover upmarket shops and boutiques in the main boulevard Carrer Port Salins.

Choose from properties with private pools, holiday rentals near the beach and golf, and villas within walking distance of the main shops and boulevard, with our luxury homes from home in one of the most unique resorts in Spain.

A beginner's guide to renting a villa in Empuriabrava

Empuriabrava is one of the more hidden gems of the Costa Brava, bordering the resorts of Roses, Figueres and Girona. Located in the Gulf of Roses in the district of Castelló d'Empúries, it is the largest residential marina in Europe, boasting a vast network of canals and waterways, as well as three golden sand beaches. This luxury waterfront neighbourhood is perfect for those looking for glorious beaches, water sports and upmarket bars and restaurants away from the main crowds. The best way to get around is by hiring a boat or bike, with plenty of cycling routes to choose from.

A visit to Empuriabrava is incomplete without getting involved in some type of watersport. From sailing to canoeing, surfing and skydiving, the Venice of the Costa Brava has it all. If unwinding by the beach is more your thing, there are three to choose from, with the main beach, Platja Empuriabrava along the marina boasting 1.5km of golden sand, a children's playground, sports courts and access to parking. Practically all residential roads lead to the beach, so it's impossible to miss it! For a change of scenery, Aiguamolls de l'empordà wetland reserve is home to over 300 species of bird, with its exotic flora and fauna and local wildlife, from herds of deer to beautiful white horses.

Unlike Emuriabrava which is one of the youngest resorts in the Costa Brava, Castello d’Empúries is steeped in history. Basílica de Santa Maria de Castelló d'Empúries is the second largest building in the Costa Brava and a must see for its elaborate Gothic architecture. Learn about one of Spain's most influential painters in Figueres, just 12km away, where Salvador Dalí was born and now lies the Dalí Theatre and Museum. Or why not take a day trip to Girona, about an hour's drive from Empuriabrava. For families, little ones will enjoy learning about the local wildlife at Butterfly Park, or practicing their swing at Minigolf Carmansó, before the adults have a go at Golf Castello.

Did you know...

  • Kids will love Butterfly Park with its tropical gardens, rare species of butterfly and exotic animals.
  • Best explored by bike, Camino Natural de la Muga is a 40km trail alongside the La Muga River.
