Apartments in Casares

Casares is a traditional whitewashed Andalucian village nestled between the Serranía de Ronda mountains and Estepona, with a population of approximately 3,000. This beautiful hilly region on the Costa del Sol’s west is an hour and a half away from Malaga International Airport and just 8km from Casares Costa. Casares is within close proximity of Sotogrande and Gibraltar. Immerse yourself in a typical Andalucian way of life and experience the charms of the Costa Del Sol's rural countryside with holiday rentals away from the main tourist crowds.

Travel back in time with 17th century San Sebastian Church in the village's centre, or learn about Blas Infante, ‘the father of Andalusia’ at the Blas Infante House Museum. From Arab Casares Fortress take in stunning landscape views stretching down to the sparkling Mediterranean, with a glimpse of the Rock of Gibraltar in the distance. The whitewashed streets around the Plaza de España are dotted with tapas bars and authentic restaurants, perfect for alfresco dining, or relaxing wine glass in hand and watching the world go by. Once a Franciscan convent, the 17th century Church of the Incarnation, now home to the Blas Infante Cultural Centre is a must-see for history buffs.

Aside from the wealth of historic relics, Casares boasts stunning dark sand beaches and a natural landscape dominated by the Sierra Bermeja and Sierra Crestellina mountain ranges. Hikers and cyclists will find that they are in their element in Casares. Discover many species of bird life, breath-taking views of North Africa and the exotic flora and fauna of Sierra Crestellina Nature Park – a protected natural site since 1989, popular with climbers and walkers.
