The traditional Catalonian fishing village of Cambrils is situated in the Costa Dorada, northeastern Spain, 17km from Reus Airport and 100km north of Barcelona Airport. Recently it has developed into a popular family holiday destination, but this typical coastal resort still retains much of its authentic charm which can be found in the flower-adorned cobbled streets, colourful market stalls of the old town and friendly Spanish residents. The Riera d'Alforja river runs straight through Cambrils, with the marina and port to the left and the old town to the right. Cultural points of interest include the La Mare de Deú de Vilafortuny Church in Plaza Santa Maria de Vilafortuny, which is a beautiful example of traditional white-washed architecture, and Mas d'en Bosch Church in De Vilafortuny, in the typical renaissance style of the 15th century. Travel back in time at the ancient Roman village of La Llosa - an archaeological site dating back to the 1st century BC.
