Reviews of our villas in Altea
We have 60 reviews of our villas in Altea.
We had a lovely week at the villa, although as a family party of 3 couples plus one child (i.e. three generations!) it would have been better had the air con in the living room (where there was a double sofa bed) been working. However, the owner had explained before our stay that air con was only available in the bedrooms. It's a pity, as providing air con in the living room would greatly enhance comfort for larger groups like us. Another negative is that the Clickstay advert for this property states that there is a hotel within a 10minute walk that has spa and pool facilities and who welcomes day guests from the Altea Hills urbanisation. In fact, the hotel has been closed for some time for renovation so no such facility exists. Having said that, the pool literally one minutes walk away from the villa was fabulous and free, so it made for a great family week. Lastly, on arrival, we had to wash most of the china, glasses and cutlery as they were grubby, the upstairs naya area (balcony) was covered in leaves and various detritus which we had to brush up and the external steps to the lower outdoor area were so overgrown by bushes that we had to cut these bushes back to be able to use the steps. Overall, our stay was good, but the villa could definitely do with a bit of TLC which would make an okay holiday property into a really good one.Read more
This is a very nice apartment located beside Altea Hills. It is a very nice setting. The apartment offer a wonderful vista over Altea and the Mediterranean Sea as well as of the mountains surrounding it. I would say that it is a bit overpriced for this time of the year when you can’t enjoy the pool not the sea.Read more
Beautiful spacious apartment, adequately furnished and with a beautiful sea view from the terrace. Well maintained accommodation with covered parking is an added value.Read more
The house is beautiful, very spacious, the living room is huge, the kitchen of great size and also the rooms. It has a lot of light and everything you need. The pool was very nice, clean and accessible. We went with children, the distribution is perfect to be able to be quietly on the porch or sunbathing, while the little ones bathe. Absolutely recommendable, we will repeat without a doubt.Read more
Super delicious villa, far more luxurious than we imagined. Especially nice outdoor area with nice and well maintained pool. However, it should be mentioned that this home is probably not so "genuinely Spanish" as it is characterized by simplicity. Everything is well maintained, with it appearing very empty and cold inside.Read more
The Villa is a home from home and has everything you need, it was perfect for our family of 4. The communal garden and swimming pool was lovely and really made the stay wonderful. Altea is a great location for a holiday and the Villa being in Altea Hills is just perfect.Read more
Villas in Altea
North of Alicante, Altea is a coastal town and district in the province of Alicante, on the sunny Costa Blanca. It has one of the most visited old towns in Spain, while its flower-adorned streets have character and charm in abundance. Altea enjoys a beautiful microclimate as the region is protected by the Sierra de Bernia mountains, providing a postcard-perfect backdrop to your holiday. Worlds apart from its neighbour Benidorm, just 10km away, it is the creative capital of the Costa Blanca, once home to many artists and musicians of the 60s. The winding streets of the medieval old quarter are lined with art galleries and workshops and the natural landscape is a work of art itself.
The 6km-long coastline and wide stretch of family-friendly beaches and coves here are a mix of pebble and white sand and the stylish marina is complemented by a bustling seafront promenade lively with alfresco eaters enjoying authentic Spanish seafood. Many outdoor lovers choose Altea for its scenic cycling routes, overlooking the mountains and Mediterranean. The surrounding region is dotted with pretty pine groves and orchards, giving you a real taste of typical Spain.
