The villa was great! My elderly American mom, my Filipina wife and her family had a great time along with myself. The villa was safe and quiet and very comfortable with a nice kitchen which we used to cook breakfast and dinner every night. The villa had a nice volleyball court along with a pool table which my wife's family loved! The manager of the villa, Jedy and her husband were very nice. They arranged transportation when needed which was every day. Last thing like to add, booking of the villa was easy. Had made a mistake when I booked it and Vincent, the owner of the villa corrected the mistake with penalties or hassle. Matter of fact, Vincent and I were corresponding back and forth quite a bit several weeks before our arrival date with some changes that were made and he was very accommodating. Highly recommend the villa.

***AMAZING GETAWAY*** I have travelled to countries all over Europe, Asia and in the United States but not once did I ever write a review, my wife usually does. So why now?.....Well, There are some things money cannot buy that is the genuine hospitality our family experienced during our one week stay at this gorgeous villa and as a token of my gratitude I would like to extend my thanks to Vincent White (the owner), Jedy (property manager) and Rizal, Rosy and Tercy (Chef) “To call them cook would be an insult and an understatement for they have prepared an incredible feast for us”. From the moment I made an inquiry about this Villa, Vincent was very patient and immediately answered all of my questions and concerns. One of my concerns was security, comfort and cleanliness of the property for my family. The picture does not do justice, it is usually the other way around, and this place was immaculately kept clean with modern appliances and furniture (added bonus Excellent Wi-fi). Special thanks to Ms. Jeddy who has been very accommodating at our every call and needs for such a large group of 19 people. I have so many great things to say about the staff and this place but I will wrap it up before I put everyone to sleep. I highly recommend this place to a small or big family looking to spend an intimate getaway in this beautiful paradise called Panglao, Bohol and all the LUXURY, SECURITY and COMFORT in Panglao Villa! Price is very reasonable, 10 mins walk to the closest beach and less than 10 mins drive from the famous Alona Beach. Next time we come back, we will definitely stay here again without a doubt rather than staying at an overpriced 5 star hotel near Alona Beach. ***Thanks again Vincent and Jedy for an unforgettable getaway, no words can express how much we appreciate your hospitality and we will see you again next year!***
Fleur I would just like to say thank you so so much for a fantastic review and for looking after our property and treating our staff in a nice way . Thanks

Last week, we returned from a wonderful getaway to Panglao Island and a relaxing, comfortable, and enjoyable stay at Panglao Villa. From the moment we landed on the Island, the service we received from the owner and staff at Panglao villa went above and beyond. The villa was booked by another reservation our 1st night on the island, but Vincent, upon hearing that our hotel for that 1st night did not provide airport transportation, took it upon himself to pick us up and bring us to our hotel. The next day we were picked up again, and brought to the villa. The house itself was comfortable, incredibly spacious, and wonderfully tranquil. Our two-year-old loved the swings and volleyball court (i.e. a sand pit to play with his toy trucks), and we all enjoyed the privacy of having the property to ourselves, as well as the location (a quick trike ride to the beach, but not far from the local church, school, and shops). Our experience on Panglao would have been drastically different had we opted to stay at a beachside resort, and I'm so happy about the choice that we made. Jeddy was phenomenal at answering all of our questions, and any small issues that did arise (lack of hand towels and soap) were attended to immediately. Jeddy was also able to provide us with an absolutely wonderful housekeeper, Rosie, who kept the villa tidy, made us an absolutely delicious dinner one evening, found us things that the market we weren't able to locate (such as coffee), and, best of all, was gladly willing to play with/watch our toddler on a few occasions, so that my husband and I could have a romantic dinner on the beach one evening, and a chance to snorkel Balicasag another day. Our family had a memorable, relaxing, and fun week on Panglao, and that was largely due to our choice to stay at Panglao Villa and the wonderful people we had the chance to meet there! Should our travels take us to the Philippines again, we would jump at the opportunity to return to Panglao Villa.

The house was excellent. Jedy and Rizal were very attentive to our needs and requests. They made sure that we were happy with everything. Rizal and Jedy gave me lots of coconuts which I thoroughly enjoyed. The local market is about a 5 minute tricycle ride so we mainly just cooked our meals which made our family holiday really affordable and enjoyable. We look forward to staying again in the near future.

I am very satisfied with the property. It is a home away from home. Very pleased with the excellent service by Jedy and her husband. Both are very caring who went out of their way to follow us to the beach resort to make sure we are all right and comfy. There were few issues that were easily resolved, thanks for their kind help and quick action.
My only comment/suggestion is that there should be sign somewhere, probably at the junction or anywhere for people to know where Panglao villa is. My cousin Sonny and I had some business in the city so we did not go with the pick up service. The taxi driver did not know the place. We got lost and no one among the neighboring houses, the people around the area, tricycle drivers that we have asked knew the place.
One tricycle driver we hailed from the market, was just surprised to know that the house is now called Panglao villa.
Over all we love the place and will definitely go back there one day.
Hello my dear guest that's a great idea to put signpost on the street corner of the road junction saying where panglaovilla is plus one signpost outside the villa. I have just instructed my manager to get them put up. many thanks for a great review.

We had a REALLY big problem at the Panglao Villa....
We were WAAAAAAAAY too comfortable.
We were also WAAAAAAAY too happy!
We were, in addition, WAAAAAAAY too delighted!!
Finally, we were WAAAAAY WAAAAAY WAAAAAY too pleased with the way we were greeted at the airport by Jedy and at the home by her husband Rizal !!! She is a doll, and Rizal was so helpful.
We stopped by the super market in Tagbilaran on our way to the property for various groceries. That was in itself a unique experience and we were able to purchase so many items for breakfast , other meals, snacks, water, and other good stuff. Visa was accepted and this was a great convenience. We made two dinners and numerous breakfasts & lunches while we stayed at the Villa. Having a well stocked kitchen with modern appliances was huge for us. After growing up as an expat in Manila during the 70’s, I was also happy to report that we saw not a single bug…not a one in kitchen, bath, or bedrooms! The kitchen was clean, had bottled water that Rizal refilled for pennies, and all the comforts of a modern kitchen.
After we arrived at the beautiful premises, we made chicken adobo(Hawaiian style!) A rum and coke, and we all said aloha at 930 our first night. We enjoyed the comfy bedrooms, as well as the quiet, peaceful and safe surrounds… Just perfect!
You are running a really neat operation at the Villa and we were pleased beyond all expectations, Vincent. Thank you so much from all 6 of us for sharing your beautiful home, the aloha welcome of your family and friends, and for making us feel like an old friend right away.
We loved seeing the pictures of you & Sylvia, your son and your family history. This place is just wonderful. Mahalo, salamat po...thank you!
It was a delight that everything worked. Hi-speed internet, large LCD TV with DVD and lots of movies, all kitchen appliances, the beautiful Euro style freshly refurbished bathroom, the cozy living and dining areas, and the bedroom aircons. We cooled the rooms when we were home, and they worked perfectly.
For touring, we did the one day Chocolate Hills(beautiful!) Butterfly farm(one hour of loveliness) the Tarsier Preserve(sweet little critters!) and the Loboc River tour. For 75 bucks plus a health tip for our courteous and informative driver, it was a great day for the 6 of us. Back to the villa, some cold beers and another great rest.
For 50 bucks and tip we did the Panglao island tour including the caves at Hinagdanan, swimming and snorkeling at Alona beach, a very nice stop over at the not-in-your-face Bee Farm(one of the few places no fee was charged and no hassles by anyone). Great day.
WE also enjoyed the $40 boat trip to Balicasag Island for amazing snorkeling. Be advised that a Municipality Fee is charged ($1 per person as well as a boat fee to paddle you to the snorkeling site of about $5 per person) This nickel and diming is kind of a turn-off, but the snorkeling made us forget the minor hassle.
Just minutes away by walk is a wonderful massage parlor with excellent local masseuses…at about $12(tip included) for one hour of heaven. Clean, close, affordable and professional. Any of the 6 women working there were excellent. We went back 3 more times!
Lots of nearby Sari-Sari stores to buy snacks, water, sodas and such, and a 5 minute trike ride got us back to any number of nice beaches where we could enjoy all the same amenities as the people we sat next to…who were paying 200+ night! All the more we appreciated the value and comfort of the Villa. The island was uncrowded and peaceful…a far cry from Boracay. Can’t compare it to that scene, but it is really lovely in a quiet, kind, and subtle manner.
With warm aloha,
Gary Cyndie George Linda Barney and Cora
PS You almost had to call the police on us since we did want to leave! Thought of chaining ourselves to the walls! Maybe next time, because we WILL return! A++++ job.
PPS NOTE: We had the pleasure to meet Vincent for a very nice dinner the night before we left…first rate chap! Aloha!

"Wow!"those 3 lettres really describe everything about this place! Located in a little village away from the tourist spots and there again only 15 min drive by trike (100 pesos) to beautiful alona Beach. The villa is beautiful and peaceful located in what seems to be a little forest of mainly coconut palm trees. Just look at the pictures on www.panglaovilla.com, there it says it all and its exactly like its written there. Vincent is a great and friendly guy and very helpful and answers all questions very fast. Jedi the housekeeper and her husband are quickly there when needed. We experienced some power blackouts at the beginning of our stay as a aftermath of the disastrous earthquake that hit the island on october 15th, 2013 but it only lasted between 30 min - 2 hours. Lets face it, on vacation you can easily be without tv or internet for a couple of hours! Also the damages on some of some very old buildings on the island was devastating, Panglao Villa did withstand this 7.2 magnitude without a scratch! In the village itself you can get almost everything for your daily needs from the many sari sari stores or the local market where you can buy vegetables, fresh fish from the day, meet, chicken all fresh! All in all I can only highly recommend this place. Thanks Vincent for letting us stay there, thank you Jedi and husband for all the help you assisted us with. We had a great stay, we only met very friendly people and if we ever have the chance to come to this island again, Panglao Villa will be the only choice!
Wonderful Holiday Home for families and groupsReviewed by: Andy L from Durham, United KingdomReviewed on: 08/01/2013 for their stay in 07/2013193275 - panglao villa bohol philippinesEverything positive has been said by previous reviews, but I can honestly say that I have never felt safer or more comfortable in the Philippines than staying here! I contacted the owner, Vincent after my initial enquiry because the dates we wanted were not available. He explained that this was because of some extension work, but that he would make the Villa available on part of our stay at a discounted rate. Due to no fault of the owner, the booking system (holiday rentals) double discounted the booking and he contacted me to inform me of the error. In all honesty I was disappointed and didnt react brilliantly. Vincent, however was an absolute gentleman and we resolved the difference fairly quickly. Our pick up at the ferry terminal was First Class, unlike a so called high class hotel in Cebu, we were met with a suitable sized vehicle for a party of 6 plus luggage, and the transfer was included in the rental! A real bonus. Jedy advised us to pick up a few items on the way to the Villa and this is where experience can advise future clients to plan what they would like to eat, request that you stop by the local mall/shops to pick up some groceries (unless you eat out) we were poorly organised in that respect and wasted a little too much time looking for basics like salt, seasoning etc.. Only important if you want to prepare your own food in this very well equipped kitchen! Jedy and husband Rizal, are as previously mentioned, very helpful, likeable and trustworthy people and I regret that we didnt have more time to get to know them better. We had a family member with a 4x4 car but the advice that Jedy gives is spot on! The Villa itself is to a high Western standard with air Con in all rooms except bathroom and kitchen. The aircon in the main bedroom is not that loud really, it just happens to be right above the headboard but we found the best way was to cool the room before bed, leave the time for about an hour and let it go off, or else, just use the fan, after all you need to adjust to the tropical heat in any case. The badminton, volleyball and pool facilities were enjoyed by all... make sure to put on deet based mosquito repellent if playing around sunset and beyond, otherwise if you are like me or my youngest son you will be bitten. Internet, wifi and large flat screen TV are added bonuses but not keen on most of the tv channels to be honest. The village and surrounding area is very safe, friendly and you do not feel pressurised at all. My eldest son was enjoying the local kids jumping off the pier to cool down and asked to join in. The kids were great and realising they were being videoed, they all put on a bit of a show and made him feel very welcome to be part of the group. My wife who was very reluctant at first to leave the Villa was getting up and going to the local Sari store for essentials, like eggs, milk etc. on the back of a motorcycle for a very small cost (10 pesos). When we got back to Cebu (today) she said she wants to go back. Travelling from Cebu was the only stressful part of the experience and I was not impressed by the Weesam Express ferry service. The staff were not very friendly and tried to charge full for kids and senior despite asking for their ages. On the return, we got to the terminal to find they had cancelled the sailing but they offered a refund. As the ticket was a round trip promo we only got back half which left us out of pocket because we had to find around 1000 pesos (13/14GBP) extra for single tickets with another company (2Go) The Villa is perfectly placed for travel to alona or Doljo beach. Worth checking which way the wind is blowing before deciding on the right one to swim and enjoy. Final word on the Vila, it was so nice to see a little family background in photos on one of the walls. It is clearly a place that was built with family comfort and enjoyment in mind, reinforced with the family connections Vincent has in the village. Great trip, great value and will be back!!!
Balcony or terrace Barbecue Garage Outside lighting
Parking Private garden Tennis court
The property has a beach volleyball and badminton court, it has a private garden with barbeque area, childrens swings and gazebo with pool table. Note that one of the bathrooms mentioned in the Villa is a large wet room outside at the guest house next to the gazebo and is fed with rain water and is not heated. Many guest find this refreshing. This making it easy for people to use when using the gazebo. Swimming pool 8 mins walk away entrance fee per day per person 50 pesos.
Please note that only one of the automatic discounts late booking or early booking will apply to any booking.
