Fabulous family owned superior villa

After viewing many villas in various communities within the Disney area we eventually found what we were looking for in the prestigious Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club. Situated conveniently on the highway 27, Southern Dunes, which is a manned gated community, is in a perfect position for accessing the many attractions and shopping in the Disney/Orlando area. We can now also boast being very close to the new Legoland which incorporates Cypress Gardens and a water park. We are also in a great position for joining the I4 therefore getting to the Disney attractions is very easy. Busch Gardens in Tampa and both the Gulf and Atlantic coast beaches are also very accessable.

Our villa is our pride and joy and we very much want to share it with you. We want you to enjoy staying in it so much that you will want to return. With it's HD television and HD cable tv, free high speed wireless internet, full air conditioning throughout, telephone with free calls within USA and Canada, 4 bedrooms, 2 sitting areas, 2 dining areas, the all important utility room, games room, 2 bathrooms, and most importantly the large, heated swimming pool you will find this has it all. It is furnished to a very high standard with many extras including hairdryers, tv's in all bedrooms, etc., It is extremely child friendly. Not only do we have a travel cot and highchair at no extra cost, we also have a security fence at the pool which can easily be taken down if not required. We regularly buy new bedding, towels and those little extra things to let our guests know that we care.

RELAX

As you walk through the front door you will enter the 1st seating area which has an open plan formal dining area. The 2nd seating area is at the rear of the house and has beautiful large patio doors leading onto the pool. Here you will find our television with HD cable tv and DVD player. Both areas have magnificent vaulted ceilings.

BEDROOMS/ BATHROOMS

The villa has 4 bedrooms. 1 master bedroom with a beautiful super king size bedroom suite with patio doors leading to the pool and a newly renovated en suite bathroom/shower room, a second queen bedroom and 2 twin rooms. The 2nd Queen room and the 2 twins share a bathroom/shower room/toilet which has also been newly renovated. Some may argue that a 3rd bathroom would be desirable but we find what we have is more than adequate with never a complaint from our guests. As a matter of fact we chose this set up as it means more space in other parts of the villa. All bedrooms have built in wardrobes and smart televisions.

KITCHEN/BREAKFAST BAR/UTILITY ROOM

Our beautiful, newly renovated kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need during your stay. All utensils, crockery, etc., are in perfect/new condition. There is a large American fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave & cooker.

Next to the kitchen is a 2nd dining area.

We also have that all important utility room leading from the kitchen which has a large washing machine and tumble dryer.

GAMES ROOM

The double garage houses a pool table with a table tennis top, a fantastic cross trainer, a dart board, chairs, a selection of books and 2 bikes for you to use at your leisure. When the sun moves away from the pool area in the late afternoon/evening the garage doors can be opened. Here you can bask in the sun using the chairs we have in the garage.

INTERNET

The villa has high speed wireless internet which can be accessed by multiple users.

THE POOL

In our opinion the most special part of our villa is the large pool which has been fully renovated. With clear blue water and a lovely outlook you will want to spend hours here. We have plenty of top quality comfortable sunbeds for you to relax on and a dining table and chairs. If you want to sit in the shade or cool off there is a shaded area with an overhead fan/light. We find it very peaceful to sit out by the illuminated pool at night. Pool heat is available during the cooler months.

SOMETHING YOU MAY FIND INTERESTING

We also have the added bonus of seeing rocket launches. When a rocket launch is due to happen you can have the tv coverage on and if you look to the left of the pool (where the sun rises) you will see the rockets after they have launched. Although this is in the distance, it's quite exciting seeing the trail of the rocket and you can always hear the sonic boom. This is especially good when it's a night time launch and the sky is clear.

SOUTHERN DUNES

Southern Dunes is an exclusive community of top quality homes set amidst a fantastic 18 hole golf course designed by Steve Myers and ranked in Florida's top 10. You can pay and play, book on line or purchase a monthly membership. There's something for everyone at Southern Dunes - a community pool, a gym, tennis courts, kids swing park, beautiful walks, fishing in Lake Joe (you will need your own line & tackle and be mindful of the resident gators !), banks, gas stations and much more. Tavern on the Dunes is located in the 12,000 square foot clubhouse and is the perfect place to have breakfast, lunch & dinner or to simply unwind after an enjoyable round of golf. Happy hour is from 4.00pm to 7.00pm 7 days a week (may vary) in the newly renovated bar that features 7 TV's and with the help of Direct TV they are able to offer a variety of your favourite sporting events i.e., Golf, NFL, College Football, NHL, MLB and much much more !! New at The Tavern on the Dunes is 'The BARN' which is a new Smart Target experience where you can book Top Tracer bays. It provides a full bar & menu as well as Corn Hole, Fire Pit, and an illuminated Putting Green to round off this entertaining venue. The Barn offers a welcoming ambiance where guests can relax, unwind, and savor the flavors of an unforgettable experience.

LOCAL AREA

Within walking distance of the villa you will find a 24 hour Walmart (you may want to take the car if it's a larger shopping list), a Winn Dixie, a Chinese take away and various restaurants such as the usual McDonalds, Checkers, etc., Our biggest claim to fame is Manny's Chop House where you will have not just a meal but a dining experience. Manny's has a phone ahead booking service and is so different from the usual American diners. Take a look at www.mannyschophouse.com. As you exit Southern Dunes and drive along the Highway 27 you will find many restaurants such as Beef O’Bradys, Appleby's, Cracker Barrel, Grand China Buffet, Perkins, Denny's, Bob Evans, Hungry Crab, etc.,
Not far from our villa, on the I4 going East, you will find the Disney attractions and on the I4 going WEST you will find various places of interest such as The Museum of Flight, The Water Skiing Experience, Dinosaur Land aswell as Legoland as previously mentioned. If it's hiring a fishing boat that takes your fancy or trying out the experience of firing a gun at a gun range then look no further.

PETS

Although I am an animal lover, especially dogs, I'm very sorry to say that we cannot allow pets. The villa is cleaned to a high standard for use by guests who may have allergies, some of which may be allergic to dogs. We also have lovely new carpets in the villa which I wouldn't even let my own dogs walk on.
