Information about the quality rating of the property has been provided by the agent. The more stars a property is awarded, the higher the levels of comfort. Furniture, equipment and the condition of the holiday home is taken into account.

One star: Very simply furnished holiday home with basic facilities, for a stay during summer.

Two stars: Plainly furnished holiday home with few facilities.

Three stars: Well-kept holiday home, equipped with standard furniture.

Four stars: Well-equipped holiday home of a high standard, with comfortable furniture and extra facilities.

Five stars: Our best rated holiday home. Tastefully furnished and fully equipped.

Many of our holiday homes include consumption costs in the rental price. However, some holiday homes require you to pay for consumption (electricity, water, heating, firewood and similar) in addition to the booking price.

In holiday homes where consumption is not included in the price, the cost depends on usage during your stay or is charged as a pre-defined amount per person, per day.

The details of consumption costs are listed in the cost breakdown on the checkout, if consumption costs are not included in the price.

The consumption costs will be settled in local currency at check in/upon departure or invoiced to you after your stay.

If you select any optional extras as part of your booking then you will need to confirm details with the local property manager after the booking has been fully paid. You will receive the property manager's contact details (phone number and/or email address) after you have paid for the booking and you should contact him or her to confirm details. If you cannot get hold of the property manager then please contact the Clickstay support team for further assistance.

Please note: you do not need to contact the property manager about any compulsory extras such as final cleaning (i.e. cleaning upon departure).

Directions and details on how to collect the keys will be emailed to you after you have paid for the booking in full. You will receive full details about your booking including directions to the property and a booking voucher that you need to hand over to the property manager when you receive the keys. In some instances you may need to collect the keys from the property manager's office or some other location which is not the actual property you have booked to stay in. Please note that the agent provides us with the GPS co-ordinates in the travel directions and we communicate these to you; you should contact the property manager if these are unclear.

When do I have to pay tourist tax?

If you are traveling to France, you will get an email with a payment link to pay the relevant tourist tax before you leave for your holiday.

For all other destinations where tourist tax is applicable, you will pay the homeowner or keyholder once you arrive, in local currency.

Please note that the tax amount may increase or decrease in the period between making your booking and the commencement of your holiday. You will only ever be charged in line with applicable legislation.

Why do I need to pay tourist tax?

Tourist tax is a small daily fee that all visitors going to specific destinations need to pay. The fee is set by the local authorities.
