The market town of Tordera in Catalonia is situated between the sea and mountains just 10km inland from the mediterranean coastline of the Costa Brava/Costa Maresme and on the edge the Montnegre natural park and is famous for it's many hiking trails, 17th century church, the Inditex/Massimo Dutti/Bershka textile company offices and the large traditional market which takes over the town and attracts 1000's of people every sunday! The beautiful historic cities of Barcelona with attractions like La Sagrada Familia, Camp Nou, Las Ramblas and Girona with it's Cathedral, Jewish Quarter and old town are easy accessible by car and there is also a bus/rail service from Tordera train station,

For guests there are many local attractions and activities including walking/hiking trails, rock climbing, cycling, paragliding, golf, horse-riding, scuba diving, wind-surfing and jet-skiing. A car is advisable but not essential though as all local amenities like chemists, ATM, medical centre, sports centre with swimming pool, supermarkets, bars and restaurants are within 20 minutes walk of the villa and any excursions can be arranged if required.
Tordera is just 25 minutes drive from Girona-Costa Brava airport (GRO), 60 mins drive from Barcelona-El Prat airport (BCN) and 10 mins drive to the coastal resorts of Blanes, Malgrat de Mar and 20 mins drive to Lloret de Mar. If not hiring a car then cheap airport transfers can be arranged for 55€ each way if flying to Girona (GRO) and 110€ each way if flying to Barcelona (BCN).
