Villa overview

In a commanding position overlooking Kalkan town, Villa Kahili was built to an exacting standard. This spacious villa is set against the magnificent backdrop of the Taurus mountains and has superb unobstructed views of the bay and it's islands. With substantial room sizes, beautifully furnished, the villa has a light and airy feel. This is most apparent in the emperor-sized master bedroom together with an en-suite bathroom. All bedrooms have a balcony or terrace, and have wonderful views of Kalkan and the bay.
The villa and infinity pool are set in a private landscaped garden complete with shaded pergola. In the evening you can sit under the stars on the large roof terrace and watch the boats return to the harbour in the bay. This is a beautiful villa for both families and couples, in a convenient, quiet location yet only minutes from Kalkan's shops and restaurants.

Kalkan is a small yet unique harbour town with unrivalled charm and character. A short walk down through the maze of cobbled streets lined with historic Greek and Turkish buildings covered in bougainvillea, soon reveals why Kalkan and its friendly people attracts the discerning time and time again. Renowned for its moderately priced high-quality restaurants, dine in the roof-terrace restaurants, listen to live classical/jazz music, relax and enjoy the view of the harbour and bay. Wander past charming boutique shops or through the local market - there is plenty here to absorb.

The historic town of Kalkan is one of the most attractive locations along Turkey's renowned Turquoise Coast, often referred to the Pirate Coast because of its many coves and islands. The Taurus Mountains surrounding the area provide a dramatic backdrop of considerable geographical interest and beauty. This is the fabled Lycian region rich in unspoiled cultural sites set in fertile plains - first-time visitors are in for a pleasant surprise! Kalkan has cool rainy winters, but has a warm and mild Spring. Summers are hot and dry with the temperatures remaining high well into October and November. Visitors have recently been taking advantage of extended flight availability and fine weather to holiday outside the traditional season.

Our second time staying at Villa Kahili, and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday again. The villa is beautifully cleaned and extremely comfortable. The pool and outside area is amazing. Communication with Sheila was really good and the check in/out procedure simple and straightforward. We would highly recommend this lovely villa.

We have just returned from a perfect week in Kalkan (family of 5 adults). Villa Kahili is fabulous with every detail thought about. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is immaculate and all rooms are spotless. The air conditioning is such a relief and works well. The pool is amazing, very deep, but...

The Villa is amazing. Not too far from the centre of Kahili, the pool man was very friendly and Sheila the owner is very helpful. No real concerns at all. If we were being really critical the WiFi is not the best but manageable and the pool a little deep with no shallow end otherwise we had a fantastic holiday and would return no problem.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, your comments are very valuable to us and potential guests. We have tried to improve the WIFI on successive visits and will see if improvements can be made to the speed etc. Over this winter we will be making changes to the pool so that there will be a shallower end. We were very pleased to read that...

We bought this property in 2004 after having a lovely family holiday with our children who were then 13 and 14 years old. We found Kalkan to be a child friendly small town, but at the same time having plenty to keep our interest in coming year after year. We were attracted to buying this particular property because of the uninterrupted views of the sea plus the convenience of not needing a car. This gave the children the added independence of being able to walk into town without us! Over the years we have continued to update the villa adding new bathrooms and kitchen - as it is our home away from home we still want to have all the things we appreciate in our UK home. We hope that guests enjoy time spent at the villa and Kalkan and get as much pleasure from staying as we do.
