Villa Aziz was a surprise for us. We were very worried about the road and no noisy disturbed our stay. It was a lovely house with all the facilities that you need. The pool are is so comfortable with two parasols and the BBQ. The kitchen was very helpful when we cooked as most of the time we had meals in Donnalucata (3 minutes drive) and Scicli (6 minutes drive). Recommended 100%

A very spacious, new and modern property on one level set in extensive grounds; just outside Floridia and 15kms from Syracuse so an excellent base. Quiet hilltop location with views to the coast and mountains. Internal decor immaculate; new and modern, in pristine condition. Two very large double bedrooms, plus 2 other very comfortable sized double bedrooms. Sleeps 8 very comfortably. 2 bathrooms, one with a bath; powerful shower and water always very hot. Fully equipped kitchen with microwave and dishwasher. Very large lounge. Modern UPVC double glazed windows with shutters; screened windows. Outside patio area with table and chairs; portable barbecue. The two women who met us were very helpful and showed us around the property explaining everything to us.

A very spacious property. Excellent views to the coast and Mount Etna behind. A quiet location. Lots of sitting spaces - chairs, settees. 2 outside balcony areas, one a large sun roof space. Internet access was good. Outside area had fruit trees and we were allowed to pick plums and figs. 20 minutes down to the coast. An hour to get to the cable car station for Mount Etna. A bit run-down in some areas - the towels weren't guest quality; the downstairs toilet cistern could do with replacing to stop the water flowing constantly; the fridge door was dodgy; no television (due to lightning?) Checking in was a disaster as there are TWO Number 41 houses with 41A in between them - this took us an hour and a half to sort it out. Giuseppe (brother) showed us around the house and was really helpful with regards to places to visit.

The main reason that this we haven't given Villa Flavia 5 stars is the fact that the second bedroom was very small for accommodating two adults and it lacked anywhere to put clothes. The third bedroom, containing an extra single bed, has room for a small wardrobe or chest of drawers and this would be an improvement. In every other aspect, this is a beautiful villa - the attention to detail, particularly externally was impressive. The outside space is lovely - lots of comfortable garden and pool furniture. Check out the pool lighting at night! The kitchen was well-equipped and we arrived to find the lots of goodies - water, fruit, biscuits, wine, juice, milk - kindly provided by Manuela and Vito. They were both friendly and helpful, and Manuela was easily contactable via mobile. A car is essential as there is nowhere within walking distance, although fresh bread can be bought at the pizzeria a few minutes drive down the road. Thank you, Manuela and Vito - especially for the gift of pastries to take to the airport! Delicious!
