- quite area - close to the center - enough to do around Hisarya, even when you are with public transport and small children - several possibilities for transport - bus, train, taxi - a lot of hiking possibilities from the town. - nice house, with two rooms and a living room, so enough private space. - two patios, front and back. - wide number of very affordable restaurants in town. - a lot of ancient Roman and Thracian sightseeing in and outside town. Improvements: - larger pans in the kitchen. - sunny patio on the back is nice, but with some restauration and a fire place for bbq would make it the perfect place :-)

Dear Robin & family. It was our pleasure to have you stay and I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday. Thanks for the suggestions. The one about larger pots in the kitchen is a good tip and we can certainly follow it up. It is in our plans to renovate the back patio, we also eventually hope to renovate the lower floor of the house and rent it out separately. As the back patio is accessed through the unrenovated part we haven't made any improvements to that part of the house as yet. Hope to welcome you back in the future, who knows what changes there may be then?
Best Regards
Edel

We have wonderful time. Pet friendly

The house was amazing - clean, well-kept, comfortable. There are 2 grocery stores nearby, the towns center is a 5-minute walk away with several restaurants and pubs.&nbsp

Beautiful place: The house is really good, easy to find, close to the big park and to the center of Hisarya. It is neat and has all the comfort you need for a vacation. Really nice place to stay. Petko B (Plovdiv)

My partner and I stayed in this lovely apartment in Hissar for two weeks in June 2009. The apartment is clean, comfortable, airy, and in a very quiet, up-market area of the town. The apartment is on the upper floor of an old bulgarian house which has been restored very tastefully and to a high standard. There are two patio areas, ,one at the front and one to the back of the house, where we sat in the evenings, listening to the sound of cicadas and looking at the stars. The apartment is well equipped, and has an excellent air conditioning system which works very quickly to cool everything down when it gets very hot outside. The bed was very comfortable, and the owners had left a good supply of bed linen and towels for our use. There are very good shops, restaurants, and the local tourist office all within a few minutes walk of the apartment. The town itself is a pretty magical place, full of healing water spas, old wells where you can drink the spa water for free, roman ruins, fountains, etc. Most people do not speak english, but are very helpful and kind, and it is very easy to make yourself understood with some sign language and a phrase book. The women who work in the tourist office all speak english, and will go out of their way to help you with any request or inquiry. The local people in general seem to have a very relaxed attitude to life, and most people stroll around unhurried and chilled out. Many people sit out in the local parks, either just relaxing in the sun, or reading. There are many good restaurants with a very high quality of food, including good vegetarain dishes, and a very good one we visited often is The National, which is just around the corner from the apartment. The proprietors there are Boyanka and Kircho, who speak english, are very warm and friendly, and have an english translation of their menu available. If you wish to cook yourself, there is a very good cooker in the apartment, and several local supermarkets nearby where you can buy fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, eggs, and the local wine from a winery just a few miles away. Food and wine are extremely cheap to buy, but of a good quality. We absolutely loved our time in Hissar, and were very sad to leave. It is a perfect place to go to relax, and get away from the rat race.We would definitely stay in this apartment again!
