Krabi’s unusual landscape comes from its karsts – angular limestone cliffs formed from hundreds of million year old coral reefs – jutting out from the mangrove-lined coastline. With over 130 beguiling islands it is an exceptional base from which to discover the Andaman coast; take a speedboat trip, snorkel or kayak in the shimmering blue waters.

Krabi Town is the charming and bustling, yet laid-back, capital. Although tourist facilities abound in this compact city, it also offers visitors a glimpse of genuine Thai life and culture.
