We have just returned from a brilliant holiday at Casa Escondida . Of course wed read all the great reviews, but even then we were still amazed at just how lovely it was ! The views down the valley to the sea are fantastic and they never failed to take our breath away. It was so quiet and peaceful, just the sounds of the crickets and the odd cock crowing made for a uniquely relaxing holiday.
Stuart the key holder met us promptly and guided us up the track, which was definitely nowhere near as daunting as mentioned in some reviews.
We managed it in the dark after a nice meal out in Iznate.
Everything you might need is available, and the villa is nicely furnished inside and out. I loved the hammock!
We stayed with our 2 daughters aged 11 and 5 and they both loved there time here too, the pool was just the right size for the four of us. They were thrilled to find some games and also have some english kids channels too !
We spent most of our time enjoying the villa, but we also enjoyed a couple of days at Torre Del Mar and also Nerja beaches. We took the children to the waterpark down the cost in Mijas Costa, as it offered more for our youngest it only took 45mins and it was a great day out.
If your thinking about booking this villa for your next holiday, dont hesitate - Youll love it !

We stayed at the Villa in June 2013. It was very easy to find by car and only a short drive from the motorway. The villa is quite private and has lovely views to the sea. We enjoyed our stay at the villa and the owners of the villa have made sure that everything that you should need during your stay is available. The pool was very clean as was the villa. We would definitely book the villa again and would highly recommend it to others.

This is a truly remarkable property. A spacious villa with a real cottage feel. Everything you could possibly need is provided. The location really makes the property, stunning views from the pool area. We cooked on the BBQ every night and sat out till the early hours. Its away from the hustle and bustle of the busier towns, but only a 20 minute drive to the likes of Nerja. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We had a brilliant holiday.

The property was amazing. Absolutely beautiful. So much was thoughtfully provided from towels to bread and milk and even beer and wine. This place was unbelievable.
However, the location was far more remote than we thought and the road there a little perilous and therefore we are sad that we wont go back.
If you want a holiday where you can just relax, be with the person/people you are with and not really go out at night - go. Its fabulous for that. Really beautiful, really private and so very very relaxing.

The description of the villa and its location do not give it justice. The views form the villa and pool are stunning - the villa is nestled in the hillside looking out over a peaceful valley with views out to the sea. In the evening with a glass of wine in our hands we could watch dusk approach and the stars appear.
The villa is well cared for and has everything you could possibly wish for. The bedrooms are airy and comfortable. The kitchen well equiped. The children loved the ipod player and sky TV.
We visited pretty white washed villages and explored the local beaches. But infact we spent most of our holiday at the villa enjoying the peace

Thank your for opening our eyes to a Spanish holiday with a difference.
We have had many holidays in Spain, but always in busy resorts on the coast.
Last year we thought we would try a more tranquil holiday, and your casa lived up to all our expectations. Just a nice distance from the coast, should we want to go to the beach, although must say we were more than happy to chill by the pool, and just pleasing ourselves.
We enjoyed our stay so much, we are hoping to bring our friends next year.

Dear Julian I would just like to let you know how wonderful our holiday was at your Caseta. The remote setting of the property is absolutely wonderful and the stunning view overlooking the valley and out to the sea in the distance is just what we were hoping for. My wife was really taken with the shaded covered terraces and the wonderful flowers and shrubs that you have surrounded the property with. The tinkling of the goats bells as they go out to forage for the day was really the icing on the cake as this was about the only thing apart from the Catalan farmer tending his vegetables and grapes, that we were aware of. This is what a REAL Spanish holiday was about. Once again many thanks for the use of your Caseta. We shall let a few of our close friends know about this wonderful jewel. Kind Regards Graham and Sally Webber
About the owner
The Villa is our family holiday home, we have spent the last 10 years improving it to the standard we would expect, but it is not run as a business, just to help us cover some of our costs.
The basic rule is there are no rules, just chill out and relax.
Hope you enjoy the place as much as we do.
