DENIA - a working Spanish port with daily ferries to Ibiza. An excellent marina has trendy bars and restaurants, one with a swimming pool.
The house was really well appointed, well furnished and with lots of thoughtful touches such as hair dryers and lots of adapters. We particularly appreciated the information book provided by the owner, which was very well written and included lots of useful information on the area, restaurant suggestions and very comprehensive instructions for the TV for example. It was very thoughtful and hugely useful.
The kitchen was well furnished with good quality crockery etc, the beds and pillows were comfortable and there is a lovely pool with good quality loungers and table and chairs. Theres a lovely sea view from the house too. The house is in a lovely quiet area, but minutes away from supermarkets etc. it was excellent value for money and we would definitely book again.

This is a really lovely villa, spacious & well equipped with a magnificent view to the cliffs and the sea. The pool is a generous 8m x 4m. The very comprehensive particulars on the website are totally accurate and the owner has provided in the villa a similarly detailed & helpful book of directions and information for the many sights and places of interest around the area. Do follow the advice - Algar and Altea in particular are must see.
The whole area is highly scenic particularly if you like mountainous terrain. If you look at a Google satellite image of Cumbre del Sol dont be put off - it might look like a colossal housing estate but in the villa or around the pool its peaceful quiet and secluded. This appealed to us, as a middle aged couple, as do the fairly relaxed local resorts but theres plenty around to occupy families with young children as the website rightly explains.
There is an adequate supermarket a few minutes drive away and a number of larger ones in whichever direction you drive out of Cumbre. The pleasant beach resorts of Moraira and Javea with their ample variety of bars and restaurants are an easy 10 & 20 minute drive respectively. The toll motorway and the more leisurely old coast road are about 10 minutes away, convenient for a day travelling further afield.
All in all a wonderful holiday, excellent value and well worth a return visit.

Just spent 10 relaxing days at lirios . Wow, what a lovely villa in a glorious setting, exactly as the advert showed. Things we loved were: the view, the private pool, chill out sofas on the terrace, light and contemporary decor and great location for beaches. We know moraira well and have been holidaying there for a few years. We would definitely book this villa again. The booking process was easy and the owner and house keeper were helpful. The only thing we did not like was coming home!

We visited here in August 2013 for our honeymoon and are already planning a return visit! The villa by far surpassed our expectations, and was bigger than expected, and the pool was amazing! The courtyard is idea for sunbathing and there were lilos there to use, as well as loungers and a BBQ, we spent probably 50% of our holiday simply sat by the pool. The villa itself was clean , with everything that could be needed for cooking found in the kitchen. The DVD and book cupboard was great when we fancied coming in from the sun, and the TV had English channels. The master bed was super comfortable, a rare thing on holiday, and there was plenty spare pillows and blankets. The guest book in the villa is a really great idea as it gave us a starting point to explore the area with. You do need a car to come here but the drive from Alicante airport could not be easier on the toll road, taking 60 mins, and the Sat Nav got us to Cumbre Del Sol no problem. The supermarket was only 5 mins drive, and we fell in love with Moraira which is 10 minutes drive down the mountain. The leaflets and restaurant recommendations in the villa were very useful, and we got a takeaway from the Himilayas restaurant in Moraira (much recommended!). Overall if your looking for a relaxing break, in quiet and peaceful surroundings then this is the perfect getaway. We barely saw anyone nearby, or heard any noise at all while we were there. The villa has everything you need for both a base to explore the local area, and also to spend all day in if needed!

I went here with my girlfriend and two friends and we had the most relaxing, fun time. I never usually write reviews of anything - but thought I would as we really had such a perfect holiday.
The villa was perfect and a really really resonable price compared to the other places weve stayed in in the area. It was clean, new and set out in such a way that we were spoiled for choice for where to hang out. Its a beautiful place - really private if you want to sunbathe as theres this lovely walled pool area.
I see that one of the other comments said there wasnt a welcome pack - but I found lots of helpful easy to read maps and directions to waterfalls on the counter as well as road maps and helpful advice like where to find all types of things.
I am going to go back later in the year with my family to celebrate a birthday there. Sitting out on the sofas and looking up at the all the stars is just a magical experience. I would definately recommend this place to a friend - sure is a welcome break from the city! Cant wait to visit again!
I have stayed at the villa twice. It is extremely well equipped and unlike a lot of Spanish villas, everything is very trendy and contemporary. The terrace at the front of the villa has a sofa and armchairs and is a great place to read a book in the sunshine. The arched courtyard with the large pool is a private place to sunbathe.Highly recommended. 5 starCarmen
A MESSAGE FROM THE OWNERSThis review can hardly be called unbiased because we are the owners, however we thought you'd like to hear our views for what they are worth ...The villa is unbelievably peaceful and yet you can be in the middle of abustling resort or beach within 5 minutes.Having an extremely good supermarket, Pepe la Sal on site where you can buy almost evrerything you can in England if that's what you want is useful. There is an excellent fish and meat counter, and an in-store bakery. Next door is cafe/restaurant/bar with a pool where you can eat whilst the children have a swim.We often combine a visit with an overnight stay in Valencia. A city that seems to get better every year. In 2007 the whole marina was redeveloped for the Americas Cup and is well worth a visit day or night for excellent restaurants and bars of all price ranges. If you like windsurfing the Denia centre is worth a visit.
