Apartments in Arona

Tenerife is the most popular Spanish winter sun destination and the largest of the Canaries’ archipelago, boasting a beautiful year-round micro climate. Located in South Tenerife, Arona district boasts picturesque coastal resorts like Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas to the southwest and unspoiled natural parks to the north. Its stunning volcanic landscape reveals spectacular black sand beaches, while the upscale resort of Costa Adeje is less than a 20 minute drive away. The beautiful Canary Islands were once home to not much more than a scattering of humble fishing villages, now they boast some of the most popular beach resorts in the world, let alone Spain. Located in the southern part of the island, Arona is no exception either - with a beautiful volcanic landscape and 20 beaches to choose from in and around Arona, including the most popular beaches of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos. There are two airports on the island, North Tenerife Airport and South Tenerife Airport. South Tenerife Airport is closer - only a thirty minute drive from Arona, with taxi, mini bus and coach services available.

Arona is set against a backdrop of ancient volcanic formations, while its town of the same name is located some 4km east from the coast. Offering the best of both worlds, it boasts rocky volcanic cliffs to the north, opening doors to an abundance of outdoor activities, while the south is home to some beautiful dark sand beaches, kissed by the brassy rays of the sun overlooking the Atlantic. It is nestled between the sun-kissed coast lined with lively resorts and Tiede National Park, whose impressive silhouette provides a stunning backdrop for a beach holiday. Arona town itself is a peaceful town, gradually growing livelier as you move towards the coast with its busy beachfront bars and chiringuitos. National Parks such as Montanas Negras (Black Mountains), Corona Forestal and Mount Teide, offer many outdoor activities, from mountain biking to hiking and climbing. If waters sports are more your thing, then try your hand at jet skiing, snorkeling and deep sea diving.

Family-friendly resorts such as Adeje and San Miguel Abona offer plenty for kids, from Siam Water Park to Jungle Park and the beautiful black sands of Playa de la Tejita in Granadilla de Abona, overlooking Montaña Roja nature reserve.
