3rd time renting a villa through agent and didnt disappoint! excellent communication before and during our stay! Villa Brazil was lovely and the maids even brought us a heater which we didn't ask for but they new it got chilly of an evening, but as we had a young daughter we would of preferred some English speaking channels of an evening so when i mentioned this, we were kindly moved to another villa a minutes (villa golf 1) walk away with no hassle which we really appreciated and was just as nice as Villa Brazil. Thank you for another great stay.Read more
We stayed as a couple ( both in our 60,s) and were glad we booked, everything is as described, we hope to use again next year. There are a couple of restaurants within a short walk but many more a short taxi ride away which only cost,s 8 euro each way and well worthwhile. Would definitely recommendRead more
Yvonne was fantastic and met us and explained everything and then left us to it unless we needed anything. She’d also popped a few essentials in for us like milk/bread/tea etc which was brilliant. Villa has everything you need. Fans in rooms rather than aircon but was fine for us. Good/drinks/shops are literally on your doorstep. Marina etc is about 25min walk - so evrything is walking distance. Communal pool outside villa is great or you can sunbathe on little terrace. There were 10 of us and it suited us perfectly! :)Read more
Gorgeous villa. As lovely as the pictures, bathrooms all new and kitchen well equipped. The thing that makes this villa is the outside space, pool area is large with gardens on all sides of the villa. Plenty of space for large groups to spread out and not be on top of each other. The dining table in the garden room is a lovely space to sit and the garden is so pretty at night when The fairy lights come on. Really private and not overlooked. Location is excellent, lovely residential area with a handful of restaurants within walking distance ( one being the old course clubhouse which was lovely). Small supermarket and bakery / coffee shop a short walk away. Marina 10 euros by taxi and lots of numbers in The villa. I contacted the owner a few times with queries prior to going and he always responded quickly and was helpful. Check in at the villa was very good, Met by Lynda who was very helpful and available during the stay if any issues. The only reason that I rated the advert accuracy as 4 star was that the roof terrace wasn’t accessible which disappointed us but to be honest the grounds are so big we didn’t really miss it. In conclusion a great villa, great location and would definately return / recommend.Read more

Vilamoura is famous for its white sand beaches, year-round sunshine, picturesque landscape and championship golf courses. Nestled in the heart of the Algarve, this cosmopolitan town is the perfect destination for a villa holiday, with plenty of great options for leisure activities, food and culture. The area's many water and theme parks offer fun for the whole family. Dine alfresco by the stunning marina, wind down in one of the soothing spas, or visit the historic Roman remains. Rent a villa by the coast to enjoy Vilamoura's amazing beaches, with conditions ideal for windsurfing and water sports.
How to get to Vilamoura
The easiest way to get to Vilamoura from the UK or any major European city is to fly in to Faro Airport. Flights from the UK are somewhat between 2.5 and 3 hours long, and a transfer from the airport to your villa is another 30 minutes. It’s worth checking if the owner or agent of the property you’re staying in organises transfers to the accommodation; just send them a quick message via your Clickstay account. On the other hand, you can always grab a taxi or even book a transfer online with a professional transfer company operating from the airport.
Beaches in Vilamoura
Vilamoura boasts two magnificent large sandy beaches - Praia de Vilamoura which is west and Praia da Falésia which is east of the marina. Both beaches are pristine with bars and restaurants scattered along, and there are loads of fun beach activities available. When planning a beach holiday to Portugal, renting a villa in Vilamoura should be among your top several choices.
Golf courses in Vilamoura
Portugal is among the top destinations when it comes to golfing holidays, and Vilamoura is definitely the main contributor. There are somewhat 5 golf courses in Vilamoura alone, each better than the next. They are all 18 holes, par 72 courses with very well maintained greens and excellent quality fairways. Things to do in Vilamoura
Vilamoura is gorgeous - a heavenly bit of Portugal with vast history, beautiful landscape and amazing people. The beaches here are the main attraction - wide, clean and beautiful with plethora of activities. Apart from that, the area is known for its golf courses - the best in Portugal. For those looking to expand their knowledge about Portugal, the resort has so much to teach you about it’s ways, local marine life and region’s history when Romans occupied the lands; and for the outdoorsy types looking to enjoy the nature in Vilamoura, activities like mountain bike tours, hiking, sailing, parasailing and waterskiing might be right up your alley. Renting a villa in Vilamoura puts you at arm's length to all of these options.
Activities for kids in Vilamoura
Many of the activities listed in ‘things to do in Vilamoura’ are straight out perfect for kids. Apart from the beaches and tons of activities they provide, there is still a lot of fun stuff kids could do here. If your kids are old enough to try it, then Karting Almancil is definitely a must. The track itself could do with a little bit of upkeep, but that’s far from being a dealbreaker. Aquashow Park water park is very popular due to its thrilling rides, excellent facilities and very attentive staff. However, do expect the joint to be crowded during summer as soon as it’s open.
Getting around Vilamoura
There are two bus companies that completely cover the region, including Vilamoura. The buses are reliable and the best option for tourists is to acquire the Tourist Pass, which eliminates the travel limit for 7 days, is valid in all buses and costs 38.2 Euros. Uber and taxis are also available. You can flag a taxi on the street or use the app, which locates you as soon as you open it. All it’s left for you to do, at that moment, is confirm the taxi.
Where to eat in Vilamoura
If you’ve got a big appetite, maybe posh restaurants boasting Michelin stars and whatnot should not be your first choice - there are several of those in Vilamoura. We don’t mean to discourage, but they can be pricey, and focus on quality rather than quantity. The one that stands out is Emo, offering outstanding service and delicious food. A Gaviota is definitely a cheaper option. It’s a beach bar/restaurant that mostly serves grilled meat and seafood. The prices are reasonable and food amazing. Piri Piri is a cheap little restaurant we cannot recommend highly enough. The interior is rustic and perfect, while the menu is quite extensive.
Nightlife in Vilamoura
Being a purpose-built holiday resort, Vilamoura caters to all holidaymakers. You can expect an eclectic choice of establishments here - from mellow easy going bars to pulsating nightclubs. There is a great choice of bars around the marina. Start your night at O'Neills and head east, if you can find east once you get out. There are several nightclubs in Vilamoura and the one we’d recommend is Disco Dice Club - a very popular club with great music and reasonably priced drinks.
Shopping in Vilamoura
The best shopping in Vilamoura can be done around the marina. You can find all kinds of shops scattered there, from smaller clothes stores to upscale shopping outlets. For larger shopping malls, you’ll have to venture out of Vilamoura. The two closest shopping malls are in Faro and Guia. Both are quite large, though the one in Faro is a bit larger of the two, with lots of stores, shops and even restaurants inside.
