4 bedroom Country Villa Near Estoril- Cascais- And Sintra Coastline

This was the best holiday choice we have ever made. The Villa was designed and built by the owner and his partner approximately 25 years ago. It is a large and totally unique architectural design with a massive central living room. The living room includes a glass enclosed water feature. Small steps lead to a curved conservatory which picks up the warmth of the sun. The conservatory has a long curved glass wall overlooking the exotic garden and pond and includes an electric organ. There are four bedrooms each with its own large bathroom and plenty of outdoor areas to sit. The enclosed swimming pool is very clean, exhilarating and quite deep for swimming. The kitchen is very well equipped with a vast range of equipment and lots of space. The villa is furnished with an array of antique furniture, tapestries, paintings, swiss clocks, rugs and antique items collected by the owners over the years and spotlessly clean. It is very spacious and eye catching. About 30 mins drive from Lisboa and close to some excellent beaches albeit with Atlantic surf. The surrounding area is heavily wooded and very beautiful. The villa is located in a small village with a couple of bars and restaurants. Giampiero, the owner, is charming. He lives on site but stayed out of the way except when help was needed. It is rare to experience such a close connection with the owners who built and clearly loved their unique villa and we all felt very privileged to stay here.

We had a wonderful stay at this delightful villa. Rosa was a very kind host - with great welcome and couldnt do enough for us. Lovely welcome pack after a long journey. The villa is full of character and love and enabled us to have a great stay. A quiet spot away from the busy beaches but close enough to local village for shopping and within short distance to local beaches and Sintra and only 40 mins from Lisbon. Thank you Rosa

4 bedroom Casa Monserrate

We had a wonderful time at Casa Monserate which is a great house with a lovely pool. We loved the view of the palace in the hills too. Antonio is very accommodating and the cleaner is lovely and very efficient. The place is very well kept and comfortable. The only criticism is the dishwasher which is not up to scratch as ,despite prewash rinsing etc, does not wash properly. However, everything else is great and Antonio even brought in 2 new armchairs when one broke. Thank you Antonio for a very good holiday. Penny Mahood

Villa as advertised, really spacious and very comfortable. Owner was very friendly, informative and helpful and non-intrusive. Would definitely recommend this villa to a large group. The village was quite but with many restaurants within a 3 minute walk. Local transport was excellent with bus stop just outside the villa. Regular service at a good price.

Amazing house, lovely area. Rugged coastline and small sandy beaches. Walks through scenic national park. Worth remembering that it is the Atlantic and like Lands End (UK) can be windy. Some of the beaches do not have life guards. Village has great restaurants and a slightly unreliable bus service. You will need a car for any shopping

Fabulous house for a group of 4 couples. We thought the house and pool were great for our needs. You certainly need a car to go around the area but the bus to Sintra and train to Lisbon were easy to organise.
