Apartment corresponding to photos Only downside is the garden table too small to eat with family on the terrace because we were 6 people while the table is made for 4persons. We are satisfied with our rental and we are about to rent at your place next yearRead more
We have had a lovely holiday in Portugal. The hotel was fine. We were surprised that the pool was as big as the picture, it does not happen so often. # A few small minuses: The flow went quite often and it was not possible to pull down properly in one toilet. Nice location when you have a car. A good long walk to the beautiful beach, and beautiful walks on the cliffs above the beaches. It is not impossible for us to return. #Read more

The cut of the apartment and the balcony are great. The view over the bay to Lagos not to top. The living / dining room is equipped with good but worn furniture. There is a muffling in the dresser drawers. The windows and doors urgently need to be reset or renewed. Too bad for the tiles on the front door, the door schrappt constantly while opening it. The decor is shabby and would have to be partially replaced (dresser, sofa). The kitchen is not suitable for cooking. Cook noodles takes 1 hour because the stove did not start and the pots are really borderline. The microwave, no thanks! Refrigerator big and spacious! The bathrooms were up to the coating of the bath i.O. The shower in the second bathroom is not recommended for showers, flood risk! The apartment has air conditioning in each room, which also ran well. The staff in the house was super nice and very helpful. The house technician was very nice and above all competent. On the whole, the apartment has a high potential. If the kitchen would be newly renovated, the bathtub would have a new coating, windows / doors would be reset, replaced sofa, checked the table lamps, then the apartment would be really great. We have arranged it this time, but we still felt very comfortable.Read more
Spotlessly clean and tidy, this property was perfect for my family of 5 (although the beds are for 6). The real gem was the private garden complete with brick built barbecue.....perfect for a quiet breakfast or evening meal after a day on the beautiful beaches of Alvor. The location is OK although it is a hike to and from the beach - next time I would hire a car since there is a new enormous free car park right by the beach and the property has its own gated off street parking place. There is a small but well stocked supermarket just 150 metres away and all the essentials are there. The property manager could not have been more helpful and sorted out a couple of minor issues promptly and efficiently. We are looking forward to next year!Read more
This is our second year booking the villa. There was only two of us even though the villa can take 8-10. The villa is in a superb location, at the end of a cul-de-sac so its very quiet. The view from the balcony over Alvor is lovely and its an ideal place to sit in the evening with a drink (or two!). The town is approximately a 10 minute walk away so theres no need for a car. Getting to the beach would take another 10 minutes walk. The villa is spotlessly clean with all mod-cons. There is a pool although we didnt use it as the pool doesnt get a lot of sun at that time of year so the water can be a bit cold. There is also an outdoor barbeque area with tables and chairs. Read more

When exploring Algarve holidays, consider Alvor for a slice of authentic Portugugal. While recent years have seen the ancient fishing village develop into a bustling tourist resort, it has managed to retain its charm, preserving the natural beauty of its popular beaches and trails, as well as its famed historical points, such as the Igreja Matriz Divino Salvador, a church that has been maintained since the 16th century. Undoubtedly, it is a town with a strong sense of history and culture, but its golden coastline alone provides enough reason to visit. The dramatic landscape and smooth shores deliver the perfect setting to enjoy the sunny Alvor weather, whilst its renowned fishing culture offers some of the Algarve’s most popular seafood restaurants.
There are plenty of things to do in Alvor if you're after a family holiday, from canoeing trips on the river to cycling along some of the popular scenic trails. There are several golf courses to try out and plenty of fishing trips on offer. While this town is modest in size, it is full of character and charm.
