The house is on a hill, situated opposite the church in Povlje. To get to the sea you cross a narrow street and go down the stares and you are at the sea in a small harbor where local fishermen tie their boats. So it is around 50 to 60 meters from the sea. You need to walk along the harbor for 200 meters to get to the first beach. The furthest beaches in the town are 10 to 15 min walk along the same road.
To get to the Island of Brac and to Povlja from the main lend you can take a car-ferry from Makarska to Sumartin on the island of Brac (60 min trip) then take a bus (15 min ride) or taxi to Povlja. Alternatively, take a car-ferry from Split to Supetar (60 min) and a bus from Supetar to Povla (40 km=60min).

A small town where people live of fishing, farming, growing of vine and olives and tourism. Population around 400.
Povlja is surrounded by numerous nice coves as nowhere else on the island Brac. The Povlja bay is also a very safe harbour for boaters. The remains of the early Christian basilica are a true rarity. Athletes and recreation enthusiasts may enjoy football and tennis, as well as water sports, swimming, yachting and windsurfing.
