The Algarve shopping centre is only a 5 minute drive away, with its extensive range of boutiques and shops and the large hypermarket which is famous for its fresh fish counter. Our local agents office is in the village opposite the beautiful church. The villa is an ideal location for holidaymakers and golfers alike.
GUIA - The tiny village of Guia is situated just ten minutes drive from bustling Albufeira, the Algarves most popular and well known resort. Guia is the hub of a thriving villa population which includes Sir Cliff Richards villa and vineyard, and over the past 30 years, around 20 restaurants have emerged offering anything from the locally discovered chicken piri-piri to two gourmet French restaurants. Nearby is the Zoomarine theme park with lots of attractions especially for the children including the opportunity to swim with the dolphins.
This small village is located near the main Highway N125 only 6km away from Albufeira. The village was established during Roman times and was called Alfontes by the Arabs, meaning beyound the water spring.
The Salgados Golf Course is nearby, with 6000 metre links, replete with water obstacles, a pleasant experience especially for the technically-skilled player.

Travel
Car hire is not essential but recommended for drives to the beautiful beaches of Gale and Castello, also visiting the towns of Tavira in Western Algarve or Lagos in Eastern Algarve. less then 40 minutes by car.
The local beaches are excellent stretches of fine sand, with Panoramic views, Beach Bars, Water Sports, etc., and not to be missed.
