Villa Garajau brings contemporary design and far-reaching Atlantic views together in an impressive setting above Madeira’s Garajau Beach. Sleeping up to eight guests across three levels (2 guests being accommodated on pull out beds), this modern villa is particularly well suited to families or groups looking for plenty of space, excellent leisure facilities and easy access to Madeira’s south coast.

The main living floor makes the most of the setting, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors connecting the open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge areas to the terrace. Outside, the private infinity pool takes centre stage, accompanied by sun loungers, an outdoor dining area and built-in barbecue. Guests can also opt to add the hot tub, where evenings can be spent looking out towards the Atlantic and the distinctive Cristo Rei statue.

All three bedrooms are air-conditioned and en-suite, with sea views, Smart TVs and access to a shared balcony. Downstairs, the games room adds another dimension, with a PlayStation 5, pool table, table tennis and fitness equipment, as well as two fold-down beds for additional guests. An internal lift connects all three floors, while secure parking for four cars and an EV charging point add further convenience.

Villa Garajau sits above the coast in Garajau, on Madeira’s sought-after southern shoreline, with wide Atlantic views and the island’s Cristo Rei statue forming part of the outlook. The setting puts plenty within easy reach while retaining a more residential feel away from Funchal’s busier centre.

Garajau Beach lies below the villa within a protected marine reserve and can be reached via the nearby cable car, around 500 metres away. Its clear waters make it a popular choice for swimming, snorkelling and diving. For everyday essentials, a mini-market, cafés, restaurants, takeaway options and a pharmacy are within walking distance, while larger supermarkets are around 1.8 kilometres away.

Madeira’s capital, Funchal, is within easy driving distance for restaurants, markets, shopping and sightseeing, while the villa is also well placed for exploring the island by car. Madeira Airport is conveniently accessible, making Villa Garajau a practical base for discovering both the coast and Madeira’s mountainous interior.

End of stay cleaning
Standard changeover clean included in the price. Guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.

Pool heating charge?
Swimming pool heating is optional and costs 250,00€ per week for a 26ºC setting.
Pool heating can be provided and should be requested at least one week in advance. Should it be requested after arrival at the villa, the minimum charge applicable is one week, which is payable from the time the heating is turned on.

Please be aware that a Tourist Tax mandated by local authorities may apply to your stay and is subject to change; this is an additional to be paid locally to owner.
