Casa da Leonor is perfectly nestled in peaceful Maloeira close to the village of Prazeres, known to offer the perfect combination of amenable year-round climate and lush surrounding countryside. Green hills and mountains surround the area, and there is a great choice of walks, including along the local levada. Prazeres boasts direct access to the Paul da Serra Plateau, with its many walks.
The nearest café and mini market are an easy walkable 290 meters away. A good choice of restaurants is offered in the immediate area, some of them less than 15 minutes away.
The pharmacy Estreito da Calheta can be found 6.1 km away.
It is 9.6 Km to the resort town of Calheta, with its man-made golden sandy beach. Here you will, find a selection of cafés, restaurants, a larger branded supermarket, the marina (offering boat trips and dolphin watching), banks and a chemist.
Funchal is an easy 50-minutes’ drive and the airport under one hour along the motorway.

Cleaning
The property is prepared for your arrival. For stays of longer than 7 nights, a change of linen and towels, and light mid-stay cleaning of bathrooms is provided on a day and time to be advised at check-in.
All linen and towels are provided, including towels for the swimming pool.
For health reasons, linen for a baby cot is not provided and you should bring your own.
Guests need to vacate the villa during a mid-stay clean and change of linen.

Booking Notes
The rental value varies with the number of people occupying the property, so please ensure you enter the correct dates, number of adults, children and infants. Please note that supplements apply should additional people join you for any length of time.
To secure your reservation we require a 30% deposit, or the full amount if you are arriving within 8 weeks. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
A security deposit of 300€ is required by credit card prior to check-in.
The payment of a Tourist Tax has been implemented across all of Madeira and Porto Santo by the local Municipalities. This applies to all visitors to Madeira aged 13 or over, and costs 2€ per person per day up to a maximum of 14€ per person. Your accommodation is legally responsible for collecting these amounts and paying them on your behalf to the applicable municipality. The Municipality Tourist Tax will be collected via credit card on the online check-in procedure.
Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival and once you have paid your balance. A contact number will be provided, and to be able to access the property, you need to phone this number as you are leaving the airport. It is your responsibility to contact and advise the number provided on the check-in details to advise any delays to the expected check-in time.
Check-in times - at the property - are between 16H00 and 19H00. For Sunday arrivals and out of hours check-in, alternative arrangements will be made, and an additional cost will apply. Check-in and check-out flexibility will be applied where possible, but this will depend on housekeeping schedules and the departure and arrival days of other guests either side of your stay; a definitive answer can only be provided within 24 hours of your arrival for check-in and of your departure for check-out.
Pool and/or hot tub maintenance will take place during your stay. This is scheduled for a specific day of the week which will be advised to you. Garden maintenance is carried out according to the conditions of the garden. Holiday dates (of which there are 13 in Madeira) will affect these schedules.
