Large lounge/diner/kitchen with a log burner, books and games. Watch the fishing boats and larger craft from the picture windows, binoculars provided! A flat screen TV is available for wet days, but to be honest there’s nothing better than donning your waterproofs and going for a stomp! There are plenty of footpaths to explore both locally and further afield.

Wildlife on your doorstep including red squirrels, sea birds, eagles, deer, dolphins and occasionally whales.

Carradale is a small fishing village that has been a holiday destination for many years. People return to the village annually and often return with their families. You can learn about the village and its past industries and inhabitants at the heritage centre, then enjoy a coffee and a cake at The Blackbird tea room, or browse local crafts in the gallery.

Although not a designated dark skies area, it can be dark and star gazing is fun! Sometimes you may be fortunate to spot the aurora or Milky Way.

The village has an excellent community shop and post office so it’s unlikely you will need to leave the village, but if you want to explore Campbeltown is about 40 mins away. You will find a cinema, pool, distilleries and shops there.
