Fitou is a newly renovated, classic small gîte at Nature’s Pace Holidays — ideal for a couple or a small family who want a slower, more nature-connected break in the peaceful Lauragais countryside.
Inside, Fitou has a spacious open-plan kitchen/dining / living area designed for easy, relaxed days (cook simply, eat together, then put your feet up). The sleeping setup is flexible: there’s a large double bedroom plus a shower room, and a sofa bed in the living room for a child or extra guest.The gite is within the original farmhouse, the thick stone walls help keep the gîte comfortable and cool during hot summer weeks.”

Across the shared grounds, you’ll also have access to our heated outdoor swimming pool (11m x 5m), a children’s play area (slides, sunken trampoline, swings and more), a shaded barn area for table tennis/table football, and lots of green space and quiet seating spots to relax while children play nearby.
For UK guests, getting here is straightforward: we’re around 45 minutes from Toulouse and Carcassonne airports, and about 15 minutes from the A61 motorway — easy for a fly-and-drive or road trip.
Days out are simple and varied: nearby lakes for swimming and watersports (including Saint-Ferréol and Ganguise), slow exploring along the Canal du Midi, market mornings (Revel, Mirepoix), and the medieval city of Carcassonne — then back to pool time and quiet countryside evenings.
We also try to keep our holidays as sustainable as practicable, including using lower-impact cleaning products where possible and reducing waste.
