Corbières is our largest gîte at Nature’s Pace Holidays — a characterful conversion of the farm’s old stables, created for relaxed family holidays and easy group weeks in the peaceful Lauragais countryside, between Toulouse and Carcassonne. It sleeps up to 8 (including children) and works beautifully for a big family, two families sharing, or a mixed group who want space and privacy (without feeling miles from each other).

Inside you’ll find generous, welcoming living and dining spaces with a real “old farmhouse” feel (including a fun detail: the names of the last two horses are still stencilled on a ceiling beam).
The layout is ideal for multi-age groups: a large double bedroom on the ground floor next to a separate shower room and WC. Upstairs there’s a large family bedroom with a for up to two additional singles, plus two further single beds on a mezzanine (great for older children). Large doors open from the living area out to a big, secluded private garden — perfect for long lunches, BBQ suppers, and quiet evenings together under the trees.

Across the shared grounds you’ll also have access to our heated 11m x 5m pool, children’s play area (slides, sunken trampoline, swings and more), pétanque, a shaded barn with table tennis/table football, and a wild meadow with plenty of open space

For UK guests, getting here is easy: we’re 15 minutes from the A61 and around 45 minutes from both Toulouse and Carcassonne airports.
Days out are simple and varied: lake days (including Saint-Ferréol and Ganguise), slow exploring along the Canal du Midi, local markets like Revel and Mirepoix, and the history of the Cathar region — with Carcassonne a must.

We also try to keep our holidays as sustainable as practicable: sourcing locally, reducing waste, using renewable energy for the gîtes, and keeping the meadow wild to support nature.
