Minervois gîte sleeps up to 6 with a private garden & BBQ and access to our heated pool—just 45 mins from Toulouse & Carcassonne airports. Peaceful Lauragais base for lakes, markets & Canal du Midi
Minervois is a charming, two-floor classic family gîte at Nature’s Pace Holidays, set among fields and rolling hills in the peaceful Lauragais countryside — a hidden-gem corner of South West France that’s ideal for a slower, more nature-connected holiday (with plenty to do when you want it).
Inside, the ground floor is a bright open-plan kitchen/dining/living space, with large doors opening onto the main lawn and towards the pool — perfect for easy family meals and relaxed together time. Sleeping layout: one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, plus two single beds on a mezzanine (handy for older children or an “extended family” setup). There’s a shower room and two WCs. We provide bed linen, bath towels and pool towels.
Outside, Minervois has a large private garden with views over the fields and a BBQ for long summer suppers.
Across the shared grounds you’ll find an 11m x 5m heated outdoor pool, a children’s play area (slides, sunken trampoline, swings and more), a shaded barn for table tennis/table football, and lots of open space where children can play while adults relax nearby.
The Lauragais is a relaxed, rolling pocket of South West France between Toulouse and Carcassonne — sunflower fields, quiet lanes and market villages. It’s also a region with real character: cassoulet country, apple croustade, and layers of history from the Canal du Midi to nearby Cathar strongholds. Expect slow days, local food, and an “undiscovered France” feel — then back to the pool and big skies.
Days out are simple and varied: lake beaches (Saint-Ferréol, Ganguise and more), Canal du Midi cycling/boat days, markets like Revel and Mirepoix, and the must-see medieval city of Carcassonne — then back to birdsong, pool time and starry skies.
We also try to keep our holidays as sustainable as practicable: prioritising local producers where possible, reducing waste, and using water-saving approaches. For UK guests, access is easy: around 15 minutes from the A61, and about 45 minutes from Toulouse and Carcassonne airports.
