Maison Valescure

Surrounded by incredible landscapes as far as the eye can see, Maison Valescure comprises three strikingly modern houses set within a wine domaine. Crafted for comfort and refined elegance, this spacious retreat enjoys a remote setting, with views softened by warm Provençal light. Designed with effortless living in mind, its expansive interiors and open-plan design invite guests to unwind together in style.

Starting off in the largest house, the living space flows around a sleek, sociable kitchen with central island and bar stools, while doors lead out to a generous terrace ideal for evening apéritifs. Outside, a private pool measuring is framed by sun loungers on its long terrace, perfect for lazy afternoons overlooking the beautiful scenery. A boules court and table tennis provide light-hearted entertainment, while the tranquillity of the landscape encourages a slower rhythm.

With seven double bedrooms in the main house, each with its own ensuite and air-conditioning, the villa comfortably accommodates larger families or groups of friends. Some rooms are accessed via external doors, offering additional privacy, while upstairs rooms enjoy gentle views across the surrounding countryside.

A second smaller house features three more gorgeous bedrooms, again each one featuring air-conditioning and en suite shower rooms, and there’s a charming kitchen-diner for relaxed breakfasts on the private terrace. The third little villa is perfect for a couple with its pretty lounge and kitchen and en suite double bedroom.

Together, the three houses can sleep up to 22 guests. Daily housekeeping ensures a seamless stay, leaving guests free to savour the pace of Provençal life and guests are invited to enjoy complimentary wine-tasting at the nearby wine château, only a short drive from the villa.

Though remote, this holiday abode is well situated for exploring further afield. Just 14km away, via the winding lanes, the historic town of Brignoles provides all essential amenities, from artisan bakeries and cafés to bustling local markets. Meanwhile, the surrounding landscapes are perfect for long hikes and electric bike rides.

Further afield, the Mediterranean coastline at Hyères, with its golden beaches and sailing opportunities, lies around 70 minutes away. The cultural riches of Aix-en-Provence and the Riviera charm of Cassis are also potential days out.

Whether savouring a quiet glass of rosé by the pool or gathering under the stars for long summer evenings, Maison Valescure is an invitation to experience the Var region at its most relaxed and refined.

In the secluded Var countryside, just off a small, private lane, Maison Valescure is set on a secluded wine domaine with incredible vistas all around, 3km from the estate’s wine château – wine-tasting here is included in your holiday rental and there are many other excellent wine estates across this region.

Just 14km away, the historic town of Brignoles provides all practical amenities, including supermarkets, bakeries, café-bars and restaurants. From here, the possibilities for exploration truly open up. Discover the wild beauty of the Sainte-Baume Natural Regional Park with its hiking trails, limestone cliffs and shaded woodlands - perfect for walkers and nature lovers alike. For a dose of local history and spiritual calm, visit Abbaye du Thoronet, a masterpiece of Cistercian architecture nestled deep in the forest.

A little further afield, the Provençal towns of Lorgues (44km) and Vidauban (45km) are ideal for leisurely market days, while the Argens River offers opportunities for kayaking or simply relaxing by the water. Yet again, there are some marvellous wine-tasting opportunities here at famous vineyards such as Château Roubine and Château de Berne.

Alternatively, venture in the other direction to the majestic Montagne Sainte-Victoire, famously painted by Cézanne, and the elegant city of Aix-en-Provence (55km), just an hour away. Here, you can soak up Provençal culture with its cobbled streets, boutique shops and open-air cafés beneath plane trees

For a change of pace, plan a coastal day trip to the chic town of Saint-Tropez (75km), the pretty harbour at Cassis (56km) or the pretty beaches near Carqueiranne (46km), all easily reachable within 60 to 90 minutes.

Security deposit
€ 7,000 charged to client's credit card by Oliver’s Travels as a pre-authorisation at least 2 weeks prior to arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.

End of stay cleaning
Standard changeover clean and mid-stay cleaning are included in the price. Guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
