A beautiful bijou medieval castle set in rural tranquility
Situated in a beautiful corner of the Vienne, Chateau Mareuil is a bijou ancient chateau which dates back to the 15th century.
We have created 2 charming guest suites and a pretty ground floor en-suite bedroom in the Château.
The Princess Suite sleeps up to 6 with a beautiful contemporary shower room of the highest standard.
The Prince Suite sleeps up to 3 and boasts a designer bathroom created by artisan craftsmen - this Suite is very suitable for honeymooners!
The Petite Princess is a pretty family room sleeping up to 4 on the ground floor level with 2 vintage French double beds and an en-suite shower room.
The castle itself is flanked by picturesque outbuildings, a grand Donjon and a pretty cottage. in addition, there are two recent barn renovations providing further accommodation - a studio apartment for 2 and a newly renovated 2 bedroom gite which sleeps up to 6.
Chateau Mareuil is set in luscious gardens with an abundance of fruit and flowers and has it's own private river frontage.
Relax in your beautiful suite, our elegant and comfortable salon, on the terrace, in the "sky" garden or take a stroll along our private river!
Our Swimming Pool is total luxury measuring an impressive 12m x 6m!
Our nearest town is Montmorillon, of medieval origins with an abundance of local charm and situated on the river Gartempe. It is famous for writing and literature, also Gastronomy - particularly macarons!
