Sandpiper is an airy, spacious maisonette comprising the entire upper floor of a detached property in the friendly seaside village of Seaton Sluice near Whitley Bay. Entirely self-contained, Sandpiper has its own ground-floor entrance door and is accessed via stairs at front and rear.

The open-plan living space has a large sofa and smart TV with bluetooth soundbar; fast broadband ensures good quality viewing of your favourite streaming channels. The dining area has a large, extendable table and is open to the kitchen.

The kitchen is well equipped with oven, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, coffee pod machine, cafetiere, wine glasses, dog bowls, washing machine & dryer.

Stairs lead down from the kitchen to the private patio area which has outdoor dining furniture and BBQ facilities. The large garden is fully enclosed and suitable for supervised children and dogs. Up to two dogs can be accommodated by prior arrangement.

The master bedroom has a comfy king-size bed and the second bedroom has a bunkbed with full-sized double on the bottom and single on top. Both rooms have blackout curtains, plenty of storage and double-glazed windows.

The bathroom has a full bath with thermostatic shower and constant mains hot water.

There are lots of lovely walks and cycle routes on the doorstep (bikes can be locked in the garage by arrangement). The beautiful dune-lined, sandy beach is only 5 mins walk away and you'll also find great pubs, a chippy, cafes & a Co-op in the village, all in easy walking distance.

Seaton Sluice provides the perfect base for exploring the North East. Hop on a bus direct to Whitley Bay, Newcastle or Blyth, or jump in the car and explore the Northumbrian coastline, countryside and hills.

Sandpiper has been a holiday let since 2021 (having previously had long term tenants) and I took over its management from an agent in April 2025, wishing to offer my guests a more personal touch. I lived in Whitley Bay as a child/teenager and love returning to the area to visit my dad in Seaton Sluice. I particularly love the beautiful beaches, great local pubs and restaurants and exploring further into Northumberland. I'm a dedicated snow-sports enthusiast and a keen traveller, so I have great insight into what's required for a great value-for-money holiday.
