Mas du Granan is a characterful and stylish holiday home just a short stroll from the enchanting village of Gordes. This gorgeous villa combines timeless Provençal charm with modern elegance following a recent refurbishment to impeccable standards. Make the most of a landscaped garden, heated swimming pool and glorious views of the Luberon; the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway with families or friends.

The bright, open-plan living space is south-facing and bathed in natural light. The spacious lounge, adorned with comfortable sofas and a Smart TV with Netflix, flows seamlessly into a state-of-the-art kitchen equipped with premium appliances (including an all-important wine fridge and coffee machine) and a breakfast bar.
Adjacent, the pretty dining area opens out to the patio, where al-fresco dining awaits overlooking the gorgeous garden.

Mas du Granan sleeps 8 guests across four double en-suite bedrooms, each thoughtfully designed for comfort and style. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor with king-size beds, one with a shower room, the other with a bathtub and shower. Upstairs, another two doubles (with queen-size beds and modern shower rooms) offer Luberon vistas, ideal for unwinding after a day of exploration.

Outdoors, soak up the Provençal ambience of the private garden with its lavender, roses, olive trees and pines creating a fragrant haven. There is ample space for croquet, pétanque and other garden games or dip into the heated swimming pool and sunbathe on the poolside loungers.

Set on a country lane on the edge of the village, it’s great to be able to walk along local roads to the heart of Gordes, officially classified as one of France’s ‘Plus Beaux Villages’. Potter around its cobbled lanes passing art galleries, artisan shops and inviting restaurants serving local specialities. The bustling Tuesday morning market is a particular highlight and a great way to pick up a wealth of seasonal produce.

As you explore the picture-perfect village of Gordes, gaze at the breathtaking scenery that has inspired artists for many years, including the likes of Van Gogh, then venture further afield to discover the true beauty of the Luberon and this captivating corner of Provence. The hilltop village of Gordes is a gem of the Luberon region, offering an enchanting escape filled with timeless charm. As one of France’s ‘Plus Beaux Villages’, Gordes captivates with its honey-coloured stone houses cascading down the hillside, cobblestone streets, and a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding countryside.

Mas du Granan is around a 10-minute walk from the heart of Gordes (do note that part of the route does not have a pavement). Once you arrive, wander through the village’s winding lanes to discover boutique shops, inviting cafés, and delightful restaurants serving Provençal delicacies. The historic Château de Gordes, a testament to Renaissance architecture, stands proudly at the village’s heart and offers stunning views from its ramparts. For art enthusiasts, the Pol Mara Museum within the château celebrates the works of this renowned Flemish painter. Every Tuesday, Gordes’ bustling market brings the spirit of Provence alive with vibrant stalls brimming with local produce, handmade crafts and fragrant lavender products.

A stay in Gordes opens the door to the Luberon’s treasures. Just a short drive away, you’ll find the iconic Abbaye de Sénanque, a serene 12th-century monastery surrounded by iconic summer lavender fields. Not far from here, explore the unique Bories Village, an open-air museum of ancient dry-stone huts that echo the region’s pastoral heritage.

Nature lovers can venture into the heart of the Luberon Regional Natural Park, where verdant trails weave through vineyards, orchards and forests offering an idyllic backdrop for hiking, cycling and a wealth of other outdoor adventures.
