Chardan Cottage is a cute c 1800 cottage with 5 star ratings for cleanliness, location, facilities, hosting and comfort.

Close to historic Fowey Castle (St Catherines) also to Charlestown and fishing harbours of Looe, Mevagissy, plus the beatiful coastal path and many small south coast beaches, coves of St Austell Bay

Chardan is available for a minimum of 2 night stays except for peak season dates.
During October to March a 35% discount is offered for monthly rentals.

The space
There is parking to the front for one car and lots of canoe, paddle board and motor bike space

The front door opens directly to the comfy modern lounge with 2 duble sofas, TV and electric fire.
The rear entrance leads from the garden and patio to a useful shelving, pantry, book and shoes storage area.
The utility room is fitted with washing machine, freezer, hoover and brushes, worktop, sink and wc.

There is a newly refurbished kitchen which is fully equipped with new induction hob (and pans), new dishwasher, plenty of glasses for all occasions, a crockery selection and various utensils, electric hand mixer, toaster, blender, microwave, kettle etc

There are 4 comfy bar stools and an oak breakfast table for dining.

Guests are also welcome to use the selection of teas and coffees, oils, plus cleaning and cooking products but we ask that you please replace or top up for other guests to benefit.

From the dining kitchen, it leads to the lounge with wall mounted LG TV, 2 x small double sofas, seating 4 .

The cottage has central heating throughout (with a cosy wall fitted electric fire)

Upstairs from the landing leads to a new shower room, double bedroom with large wardrobe/case storage (iron and ironing board) .
Large and small set of drawers) with spare bedding and towels) and wooden window blinds.

The small bedroom has a garden view. It also has with blinds, large drawers, hanging space,.
There are two beds (bunkbed)

The beautiful long garden has comfy rattan seating, a dining bench and 2 comfy recliner chairs plus a charcoal and gas BBQ.

The furniture is stored in the garage utility area in bad weather, where you will also find a tumble dryer and clothes horse

Other things to note
The property is on the bus route which runs til mid-night in summer and is very regular (just one stop) to Fowey. 4 minutes. Or a 20- 25 minutes leisurely walk.

In beautiful Fowey, you will find a pretty beach, lots of quaint shops , restaurants, bars plus everything for outdoor activities including sailing, paddle-boarding and canoe hire, water taxis and ferry to Polruan.

Please note: due to the open plan staircase the cottage is not suitable for very young children (under 5 years of age)
