Welcome to our gorgeous home in the Eastern Algarve hills above Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo in the old village of Malhada do Judeu. We are offering the opportunity to rent a 2 or 3 bedroom unit , all rooms ensuite. We have a 28C heated 8mx4m pool which benefits from daylong sunlight exposure and a very large outdoor decking platform with loads of space for sunbeds, rattan loungers , umbrellas and everything you'd expect really. Even a bar area! Good wifi available throughout the property for when you need it but why not take the opportunity to unplug and do a digital detox! Portable air con units available on request.
Our home is a traditional Portuguese house, split into 2 adjoining halves. South facing, we enjoy great sun all day long with the added benefit of stunning sunrises and sunsets. The rental half has 3 ensuite bedrooms and sleeps six comfortably, plus a sofa bed in the lounge. It has a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and dining area with multiple outdoor patios. The well established garden has a multitude of trees such as clementine, oranges, figs, almonds, olives and carobs. A purpose built boules area nestles next door to the lazy hammock slung between 2 trees. A gas barbecue is available for those perfect al fresco meals. At night the loudest thing you might hear is an owl.
The kitchen has an oven, induction hob, fridge freezer and washing machine. If you want the hustle and bustle of Albufeira we are not for you, if you want to enjoy recharge time in a little slice of paradise we think we can help. We have Starlink wifi and multiple access points in the house and decking areas for reliable internet connectivity, this also links to the TV system which offers full HD TV channels from multiple European countries.
We can offer the option to have a chef for the odd BBQ, or romantic meal. We can also organise massage appointments in the comfort of our home here at Casa Kamina with a mobile sports massage lady Justine for just €60 for an hour's massage . These need to be pre-booked to guarantee availability. If you'd like the opportunity to ride horses whilst here we recommend Antonio at Quinta Alivisquer near Cabanas. With horses suitable for beginners through to more experienced riders you have the option of 1-2 hours starting at just €25 per hour including chaps and a riding hat. Beach rides available till 15th May. Pre-booking again advised.
We are surrounded by miles of rolling hills offering endless opportunities for walking and cycling. You’ll love the peace and tranquillity, the opportunity to take time out to recharge and refresh. Situated just 40 minutes from Faro airport and 10 minutes above Santa Catarina village ( supermarket, bakers, restaurant, bar, bank).
You’ll need a car to maximise your stay. Our nearest restaurant is 3 km away, a delightful traditional Portuguese mountain specialty where you can enjoy substantial and wholesome food. Santa Catarina offers several choices of restaurants but the larger towns of Tavira, Sao Bras and Olhao are all within 25 minutes drive as are the wonderful beaches and islands of the Ria Formosa. We can recommend lots of very good restaurants in the surrounding areas.
