Luxury Trullo, sleeping 6, with panoramic sea views and private swimming pool. Beautifully restored to create a stylish and sophisticated villa.
The contemporary design of the interior compliments the restored features of the trullo. There is a modern wood burning stove one end of the open plan lounge and at the other end of the room the dining table, positioned to admire the view from the large picture window.
The simple style combines sympathetically with the warm honey colour of the trullo cones and local stone floor. The thick walls of the trullo ensure the heat of the summer sun remains outside and the inside remains refreshingly cool.
In each of the 3 bedrooms, the beds are positioned beneath the trullo cones to marvel at their construction and admire the beautiful hand carved stone.
The luxurious bathroom was once the old bread oven. Now, it is transformed by the enormous mosaic bath with large shower head and large round basin on a marble top. The place to be pampered. The ensuite wet room is beautifully designed around the original barrel vaulted stone ceiling.
Stairs outside the back door take you up to the kidney shape pool on the olive terrace above the house. Surrounded by grass and a beautiful paved area, the saltwater pool has panoramic views to enjoy when swimming. Walking away from the pool takes you into your own private olive grove which climbs the hill behind the trullo. Steps in the dry stone walls give access to the various terraces.
A stone path bordered by rows of lavender takes you to the circular stone kitchen and dining area. Underneath bamboo shade you can sit at the magnificent stone table and enjoy long al fresco lunches. At night the dining area is beautifully lit by spot lights. In the opposite half of the circle is the kitchen area with fresh herb garden. There is no need to cook inside with a fabulous marble worktop, sink, gas hob and BBQ.
The external lounge makes the most of the fantastic view of the Adriatic sea and coastal plain. It is a wonderful area to enjoy a morning cup of coffee watching the sun rise, and equally in the evening the sophisticated lighting makes it a fantastic place to enjoy a glass of wine.
There are many beautiful stretches of beaches to enjoy within 10 minutes of Trullo Mandorla. The coastline varies from rugged rocky shoreline to long stretches of sandy beaches combined with a crystal clear aquamarine sea.
