APARTMENT DETAILS
BUILDING/SPACE: On arrival you will see that the building is a traditional walk-up tenement, which means you need to be comfortable walking up two flights of stairs with your luggage. The apartment is ideal for 2 guests but can sleep 3-4 guests. Over 90% of my guests are families of 3 or 4 people.
KITCHEN: The Kitchen is fully outfitted for those who want to cook. There is a gas stove with restaurant burners, a microwave, Refrigerator/freezer plus other smaller appliances such as a coffee press, blenders(multiple ones) and toasters - all ready for you. You are welcome to any spices or other the food items in the cabinets. This is an honor system so please replace yourself an items used up or let me know so it is there for the next guest.
LIVING ROOM: The main room has an open kitchen & living room floorplan with two large windows that provide tons of sunlight. There is a window air conditioner too, one of quietest in the market. If you forget your converter, all the lamps in the living room have built in usb ports to charge your electronics.
BEDROOM: As the bedroom is located away from the street, you will discover it is normally very quiet. I have added a barnyard style door so guests have some privacy when in the bedroom, as the layout was originally designed for 1 person or a couple.
The bedroom also has a window air conditioner (extremely quiet) and a wall heating unit. This way you can set the perfect room temperature for your needs without concern for those in the living room. You will have the entire dresser and half the big closet for your personal items.
BATHROOM: The bathroom, though not brand new, is in great condition & kept very clean. I provide a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and body wash since most guest will be flying to NYC and I know how precious that luggage space can be.
EXTRA BED: As of 8/25/25 the extra bed is a Queen size Murphy Bed in the living room with a regular mattress. This will make opening and closing the bed during the day very easy, allowing your group to have full use of the living space.
LAUNDRY: Sadly, there are no laundry facilities in the apartment or in the building. But did you really come to NYC to do wash?! If you must do wash, try one of the local methods: Wash in the sink, do it yourself at a laundromat or pay them to wash it for you(my personal preference)!
I can recommend local laundromats and wash & fold services. The one I use can provide same-day service with free pick-up & drop off and isonly a block away.
LUGGAGE: I do not hold luggage for guests before or after a stay. I do not wat my cleaners to be responsible for others belongings especially as the insurance is not active before or after the stay. Plus this can overlap with an outgoing or incoming guests time in the apartment.
I can recommend luggage storage companies located all over NYC that will store you bags for as little as $5 a day.
