Sugar Hill Estate is spectacularly set on a ridge overlooking the west coast of Barbados with unrivalled sea views, just a little north of Porters and Holetown. The entire estate stretches over fifty acres and offers facilities such as a clubhouse, restaurant, two pools, a state-of-the-art fitness centre and four floodlit tennis championship courts where world-class stars including Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki have played. As soon as you arrive at Go Easy at Sugar Hill, you will know you are about to enjoy the holiday of a lifetime. Its entrance is highly impressive, and a grand sweeping staircase and wrought iron sculptural chandelier are two very striking features that greet you. The villa’s Great Room is sprinkled with sumptuous sofas, rich wooden furniture, delightful accent chairs and a fabulous piano. The room is well stocked with books and games for entertainment. Grand arched openings lead you to a beautifully furnished terrace to the swimming pool area. The Great Room’s far end is a stunning blue and white movie and family room with state-of-the-art video and audio equipment. The outdoor dining terrace is truly magnificent, set amongst lush tropical palms that add an extra dimension to this beautiful space. Adults dining here can easily keep an eye on little ones enjoying a relaxing movie in the family room.
 
One of Go Easy’s four-bedroom suites is located on the ground floor, a highly impressive room with a four-poster bed, a spectacular ensuite bathroom and a private terrace. You will relish its beauty, where charm and character are abundant with intricately carved woods and gorgeous soft furnishings. The remaining three bedrooms in the main house come with private balconies and magnificent ensuite marble-tiled bathrooms with fluffy, hotel-quality towels and dressing gowns. Two of the upper rooms boast four poster beds, and one has a full-size three-foot day bed. Each room enjoys a fridge, tea and coffee facilities and a dressing room with a safe. The astonishing sea and tropical garden scenery from the balconies will tranquillize your soul and inspire you to explore this wonderful island.
 
Go Easy at Sugar Hill is the perfect place for celebrations, to recharge and reinvigorate. The large infinity swimming pool, jacuzzi and pool pavilion are incredible. Surrounded by glorious tropical foilage, you can relax on luxury loungers, take a dip in the pool, indulge in the jacuzzi or head to the wet bar in the pavilion. There is also a fantastic four-foot built-in gas barbecue in the pavilion for casual evening barbecues by the pool. The villa’s private tennis court and gazebo are a short distance from the pool. Formal meals are taken at the magnificent twelve-seater marble table on the alfresco dining terrace. Here you will relax to the soothing sounds of the water feature that flows under a wooden bridge between the dining and living terraces. At night, candles, amazing lights and the stars combine to make this a romantic, magical setting. Barbados' west coast beaches are sensational. Close to the resort, these include Holetown, Sandy Lane, Gibbes Beach, Paynes Beach, Batts Rock Bay and Mullins Beach. The Folkestone Marine Park in Holetown spans several kilometres along the coast and was set up to preserve the coral and shallow areas inhabited by turtles. The marine park is separated into various zones, including two sports zones where motorised aquatic sports are permitted, a scientific zone and a recreational zone where you can snorkel in peace and discover the fascinating underwater world. Snorkelling is fantastic in the mellow waters and reefs at Holetown Beach. Fine dining is also impressive in Holetown. First and Second Streets boasts some quirky bars that embrace the spirit of the Caribbean.
 
Barbados boasts a gorgeous, rolling interior sprinkled with atmospheric plantation houses and remarkable, lush botanical gardens, such as the Flower Forest Botanical Gardens near the village of Bloomsbury, Saint Joseph. It is hard to imagine that the gardens were once a sugar plantation as today, it covers a vast fifty-three acres, all sprinkled with beautiful plants, trees and flowers.
 
Barbados is famous for cricket, polo and golf. Prestigious golf clubs include The Royal Westmoreland Golf Club and the three excellent courses at Sandy Lane. Holders Hill is the main polo venue on the island, where you can spend a very civilised afternoon watching the polo while enjoying a superb afternoon tea at the same time. Cricket fans enjoy a trip to Kensington Oval, the oldest, prime sports venue in Barbados, established in 1882. Aside from cricket, Kensington Oval is also the venue for soccer, hockey, concerts, music festivals and the summer festival of Barbados, Crop Over.
 
The Limegrove Lifestyle Centre is one of the most stylish, upmarket places to shop. It is home to the world's leading retail brands, including Armani, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Gucci and Ralph Lauren. The open courtyard boasts a stunning waterfall feature.
