Koutouloufari is an excellent choice for you, with its local tavernas serving traditional cuisine and old cobblestone streets. The villa is also close to Crete's soft sandy beaches, as well as the cosmopolitan town of Hersonissos, which has lively nightlife and shops.

The owner, who lives next door, will need access to the pool area in the mornings for 1 hour to clean the pool, garden, and deliver basket breakfast).

Koutouloufari is a peaceful Cretan village on the east coast of Crete that overlooks the vibrant port town of Hersonissos.
It is nestled in a wooded hillside and is known for its excellent traditional tavernas and architecture.
Look for Souvlaki and Moussaka dishes, as well as cocktails and crepes after dinner.
Choose an outdoor seat and take in the scenery.
With a mountain-side view of Hersonissos town and the coastline, the setting provides a quiet and romantic atmosphere. Explore the narrow cobbled streets and old Cretan houses, stop for an iced coffee in one of the many cafes, or browse the quaint gift and souvenir shops to quench your cultural thirst.
A visit to the old church of Agios Vassilios (St Basil) is also recommended, as is a stroll through the sleepy neighbouring villages of Piskopiano and Ano Hersonissos.
A short drive away is Hersonissos, a livelier cosmopolitan town.
There is a vibrant nightlife and a plethora of shops there.
It is also a short drive from some of Crete's most beautiful beaches.
There are three popular family-friendly beaches to choose from, as well as a few smaller, sandy coves that hug the rocky coastline.
Kokkini Hani, Malia, Agios Nikolaos, and Elounda are all nearby beaches.
You could also take a boat to Dia or Dragon island, so named because it resembles a sleeping dragon.
Some boat tours include swimming and snorkelling stops as well as a barbecue-style lunch.
