Quinta Monte

Designed by one of Portugal's leading classical architects, it has a built area of 695 sq. mts over three floors, on a site of 2000 sq mts. With electric entrance gates, full air-conditioning and a large, heated swimming pool, it is equipped and furnished to the highest standard.

This is a genuine five-star property, immaculately maintained and professionally managed, in one of Europe's very special destinations; it is rare for a property of this quality to be offered for rental.

The huge entrance hall with a two-storey high ceiling gives Quinta Monte that essential "wow" factor as soon as you open the door. The large and elegant lounge has patio doors which lead out to the pool terrace. It is beautifully furnished with oak flooring, classical sofas and armchairs, and a stone and marble fireplace.  
                      
The adjacent library also serves as a home cinema with a large HD TV, recorder, PS4 and DVD player plus 200 channel cable TV including all the main BBC, Sky, BT Sport, ITV channels and streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime (make sure to bring your login details!). 

The designer kitchen includes an island unit with wine rack and a breakfast area with a circular table seating 6. It is fully equipped with a larder fridge, dishwasher, butler sink, microwave, coffee filter and stainless-steel range cooker. There is a second American style fridge freezer off the kitchen and a third drinks fridge in the basement. There is a fully fitted laundry room in the basement plus a table tennis table.

The villa has four bedrooms, all approximately the same size, one on the ground floor and three on the first floor. Each bedroom has air-conditioning, double built-in wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and separate shower cubicle. They each have a dressing table and a flat screen TV, and those on the first floor have access to their own balcony. All have twin beds, except the master bedroom which boasts a four-poster double bed. Hair dryers are provided in each bedroom.

Sunbathing and al fresco dining are essential elements of your Quinta Monte holiday. The pool (12 x 6 mts), with its new electric remote control cover  is surrounded by a large, sunny terrace with 8 top quality wheeled rattan sun loungers, comfortable cushions and large sunshades.

The barbecue and the outside dining terrace, with a table for 8 beneath an electric shaded pergola, are both next to the pool. On a covered terrace outside the lounge, with an electric awning providing extra shade, are two sofas and two armchairs which seat 8.

On the large first floor terrace outside the master bedroom are 4 more cushioned metal sun loungers, a large sunshade and a bar.

There are two other tables and chairs on the first-floor terrace and in the lawned garden area.

The villa is located in the Parque Atlantico area of Quinta do Lago. The Ria Formosa estuary and nature reserve is only 25 minutes walk away and you can walk from there along the nature trail to the famous bridge over the estuary which leads to the miles of unspoiled sandy beach. The San Lorenzo golf course and club house is close by and there are numerous nature walks and cycle trails for you to enjoy. You'll also find multiple restaurants within a 20 minute walk. 

It is very easy to shop when staying at the villa. There are two centres at the entrance to Quinta do Lago, Quinta Shopping and the Bougainvillea Plaza. Almancil, a characterful village, is only 15 minutes drive away and offers charming, unique shops. Apolonia is fabulous for international foods and Pingo Doco, a Portuguese supermarket chain has an excellent fish counter. Forum Algarve, a large mall is about 25 minutes away in Faro.

The charming village of Almancil is typically Portuguese. You can wander around the narrow streets, enjoying the galleries and watching the potters busy at work in their workshops. The neighbouring village of Sao Lourenco boasts one of the prettiest churches in the Algarve. It is decorated with stunning azulejo work dating back to 1730. The pretty blue and white tiles tell the story of the life of its patron saint. Almancil’s centro cultural hosts a range of art exhibitions and musical performances. The village also boasts a karting track which is very popular.

Security deposit
£500 per week charged to client’s credit card as a pre-authorisation two weeks before arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.

End of stay cleaning available?
Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accomodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning , laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal will be charged against the security deposit.

Smoking Allowed?
Not permitted.

Minimum stay
14 nights during July and August.

7 nights all other dates.

Pool heating charge?
For those who require pool heating, there will be an additional charge of £800 per week between June - Sept, £900 the rest of the year (to be paid to OT prior to travel). Please note that like all heated pools, pool heating and water temperature are reliant on weather and outside temperatures. Pool heating must be requested at the time of booking.
