This romantic stone cottage was originally built in 1863 and has been renovated with much attention to detail to retain the rustic traditional Cretan architecture and features.
Filippas House is a traditional stone-built village house in the picturesque village of Douliana.
The house features approx. 80m² of living space spread over two floors and can sleep up to four persons. It is an ideal holiday accommodation for a couple with one or two children.
It is accessed via a traditional wooden door that leads to the inner courtyard. From here you walk directly into the house.
The ground floor hosts the open plan living-/dining area with a large seating area next to the open fireplace, a dining table and chairs. On this floor you will also find the fully equipped open plan kitchen and the bathroom.
The kitchen is complete with electric cooker and oven, fridge, freezer compartment, coffee machine, electric kettle and a toaster. The bathroom has a shower, wash basin and toilet. A wide wooden staircase leads to the upper floor that features the 25m² wooden ceiling bedroom which is furnished with a 160cm wide double bed and a large armchair that converts into a single bed (sleeping space 195cm x 80cm). An extra bed for a second child can be added. The bedroom is also equipped with a cupboard and TV set with USB port.
