Villa Barico

Wow! This is a truly spectacular, four-bedroom villa in Quinta do Lago, close to Faro. Everything about it is spectacular, from the stunning, landscaped grounds, the beautiful pool and terrace, the contemporary design, the double-height aspects of some rooms, the glossy finish, the light fittings, the mirrors… the list could go on and on! You really will be spoiling yourselves if you book Villa Barico.
 
Villa Barico was designed and built for the F1 racing driver Ruben Barichello, and he certainly got something very special. It sits on a large plot of 2500 sqm with superb, mature gardens. It is in a fantastic location, overlooking the main golf course of Quinta do Lago and only a few minutes from the beach and the Quinta Shopping Plaza.
 
You will very quickly relax and enjoy the seclusion of the villa. No expense has been spared so you can have a quick dip in the awesome, heated pool and settle on the amazing sun loungers to top up your tan and chill. The terrace is beautiful with lounge furniture, an outdoor kitchen with barbecue, dining furniture and a fabulous jacuzzi. There is also a table tennis table and pool table on the terrace for your enjoyment.
 
The interior of the villa is equally amazing. The lounge is so spacious as well as being elegant and dazzling. It is so light from the great expanse of glass doors. The furniture is first class. You will sink into the pristine, squishy sofas. The open-plan dining and kitchen area is sleek and sparkling with doors opening directly to the outdoor dining terrace and kitchen. Fitness fanatics will be amazed by the incredibly well-equipped gym and can even watch themselves working out in the mirrors that cover one wall. The sauna just adds to the amazing facilities. The double-height atrium designs are so appealing. You will be gazing at the many touches that make you appreciate the beauty of this villa. The staircase and upper landing are so wow!
 
As you would imagine, the four bedrooms and five bathrooms are superior with classy fittings. Some have balconies, but all are light and bright with fantastic use of glass. You cannot fail to have a brilliant time in this fabulous, sophisticated villa. Nestled near the Quinta do Lago luxury resort, the gorgeous golf courses of the resort are set amongst fragrant pine trees and fabulous, shimmering lakes. The stunning 18 hole, Par 72, San Lorenzo Golf Course is very popular. Quinta Shopping and Bougainvillea Plaza are at the entrance of Quinta do Lago and offer gourmet restaurants, bars, cafes, boutiques and a supermarket.

Guests staying at Villa Barico will certainly enjoy the sophistication and glitz of Vilamoura. The marina is full of glossy luxury yachts as well as an incredible range of classy restaurants, bars and cafes. It is a great spot for dinner or just to people watch. The nightlife thrives at the many bars and clubs with the best DJ’s and the Vilamoura Casino promises to get the adrenaline running. There are so many shopping opportunities from famous brands to local crafts. Two fabulous beaches run either side of the marina. From the east, the sands of Vilamoura Beach extend to Quarteira and to the west, the stunning Falesia Beach stretches for miles to Olhos de Aqua.
 
The islands that are part of the Ria Formosa Reserve are beautiful and are definitely worth a visit by ferry or boat. Tavira is very seductive with charming hipped roofs outlining the sky in a unique way along the narrow streets. You can catch a ferry over to Ilha Tavira.
 
Loule is a traditional Portuguese market town with a characterful historic centre. It has such a genuine atmosphere, especially in the Arabic inspired covered market. There are stalls selling regional handicrafts, local produce and freshly caught fish. It is a fantastic place to stock the villa kitchen and purchase some souvenirs at the same time! The busy shopping streets, tree-lined plazas and warren of alleyways have barely altered since the medieval period. The ancient castle and Gothic Igreja Matriz church are within the alluring historic centre. On Saturday mornings, the town becomes even more alive with two additional markets, the farmers market and the gypsy market.

£4,000 charged to the client's credit card as a pre-authorisation at least 2 weeks prior to arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to a full inspection.

End of stay cleaning available?

Pool heating charge?
For those who require pool heating, there will be an additional charge of €1500 per week (to be paid to OT prior to travel). This extra is only available on request, and with prior arrangement before arrival. Please note that like all heated pools, pool heating and water temperature are reliant on weather and outside temperatures.

Tax
Please be aware that a Tourist Tax mandated by local authorities may apply to your stay and is subject to change; this is an additional fee to be paid locally to the owner. The charge will be 2 Euros p.p for a max of 5 nights and 1 Euro p.p from March to November.
