Beautiful historic 18 Century 1771 stone manor Maison Maître, carefully restored and modernised to produce a great family holiday home with beautiful gardens and swimming pool.
The house is on 3 floor levels and has a total of 255m2 of habitable space and further outbuilding barn.
The garden of 4260m2 in front of the house has a large covered patio (24m2) and large roofed BBQ and a gas BBQ for ease of use.
The property is within the tranquil foothills of the Hautes Pyrenees. Skiing area is only 0.5 hr away.
On the ground floor is the fully fitted modern appliances kitchen (23m2) which comes with the original bread oven and original ornamental stone sink. The Living room (36m2) with a large new wood burner stove placed into the original fireplace and the morning room (30m2) also with a new modern wood burning stove plus a built-in bar. The morning room could be used as a 5th bedroom with pull out double bed couch. On the first floor are two very large bedrooms both with en-suite bathrooms. The master bedroom (24m2) plus an en-suite (12m2) bathroom including a walk-in wardrobe and a large shower. The guest bedroom (22m2) plus en-suite (8m2) with a raised bath and separate shower.
On the second floor are two further bedrooms with a family bathroom (6m2). Both are spacious bedrooms with 36 m2 and 26 m2 built in the completely new oak beam roof with exceptionally great views of the mountains. The outbuilding has an additional 70m2 summer kitchen/utility room.
All of the grounds, main house, gardens and pool area are for the renter and his guests only. When you rent the house it is all only for your party.
The swimming pool is the renter’s responsibility to keep clean using the robot or by hand removing leaves etc and put chemicals into the skimmer weekly. If this is not done the pool goes GREEN and ruins it for other renters.
Also put away umbrellas and pool chairs at night, not black metal ones, otherwise if a storm comes everything could fly away. Please put back in the shed in the evenings.
The upper part of the barn is closed to avoid children access as upper windows open. Garage and back end of barn closed as contains gardening equipment etc.
Additionally a new delivery service for excellent food and drinks is available from our local restaurant Mont D'Aure 3 Km away in Lortet.
